Does it mean Good Game or Good God? In Diablo 2? As in your not good.

I'm making this topic to prove a point to someone. I know what it means.

It might be just me but i find not good on east ladder to be used sarcasticly all the time, were as on west non ladder its used after every duel like on east how we say "gd". So it could mean good god in a sarcastic way or good game in a polite way.

It doesn't really mean anything, it just means not good. Kind of like HAHA THATS BBQ, when BBQ isn't referring to a barbeque.

The diablo specific origin of not good is good game. Im sure there are some who use it differently, or who have adopted their own meaning. By and large, however, not good = good game in the d2 world.

I'm pretty sure "not good" (which was used in pretty much every other online game out there, too) was once used more sincerely to say good game after duels. People started using it sarcastically when they'd kill someone easily and it wasn't really a good duel at all, and it started becoming a condescending remark.

As an aside, OMGWTFBBQ and indirectly, the other BBQ derivates, came from the username of one of the somethingawful forums admins who got his name from spouting out random 3 letter acronyms to make fun of a guy who was using too much AOL speak. Just putting that out there.

Oh man I feel like a dork.

I've never seen someone define it as "Good God." I've only known it as "Good Game" in D2, almost always as an insult.

That is what it has come to mean in D2. In WC3 in DotA it usually actually means "good game".

Good god...where did that come from? Think about it. "You're good god" vs "you're good game". Good game refers to you actually ending the game. Good god refers to the fact you're a card-carrying member of the "TV Evangelists really do cure blindness and cure the sick! I've seen it!" club.

i can see why someone might think not good = good god.

often not good is used to refer to godly items....ex. "not good pelt FT". In this context, good god pelt, or good god what a pelt makes sense. Unfortunately...WRONG!!!!!!!!!
