hi I'm going to make a hld fire claw bear because I think they are cool. but my questions are

if Fire claw works with Deadly strike

if i should max sage first and then get into the synergies
or
put one into sage and do the synergies

or max lycan

also if i should get shockwave for pvp

shock wave seems like a wasted skill i dono what your looking for but life is always more important than dmg imo, i asume it works with ds but only the phys dmg i would imagine, so prolly not worth it hope sum of this helps and that its right if not sum1 correct me so he doesnt go wrong and its my fault Cool

The +dmg from fire claws skill does not work with DS.

Shock wave would be a wasted skill.
Max synergies and then sage or lycan.

it's not possible to max it all. there are too many skills to max.

Max the synergies and then put 1 point into sage and then 1 point into sage/lycan imo.

a maul charge (ONE charge) can win you some shit vs no-fhr kids.

I had a fair amount of success when I took Vegetarians to HLD, just be aware that alot of pure melee won't duel you if they know you're Fc, you'll never EVER win vs a properly setup NL smiter (for east), fade is the enemy, and never EVER forget to pack a properly IAS'd GT for range v casters.

there are really 2 options for building a hld fireclaw imo-
life- max lycanthropy before synergies
damage- 1 into lycanthropy and rest into synergies

the end result being ~2k either way. either 2k more dmg, or 2k more life. i went with the life route on mine, i ended up with 7300 life (with oak, 6800 w/o) and 13k damage.

if i had gone with damage i would have around 6k life with oak (i think, its been a while since i compared builds) and have much closer to 16k damage.

if you get perfect gear with a life build, you can achieve 10k life and 15k damage @ lvl 95ish but thats a rather unrealistic goal. the damage build tacks maybe 1500 on to that and you lose around 2k life i think.

go life build, an uber-tank with over 10k damage is so much more fun Smile
