I just got a new comp at my house so i decided to install d2 on it. i get it going and start d2. a message comes up along the line of "known compatibility issues" im like w/e vista is gay its prob just a noob error. so i start playing and everythings fine. i get on my account and go into the join game screen. all the sudden my screen freezes and it looks like someone took the bottom 2 inches of the screen and smeared it up to the top. im like WTF. so i hit windows and go back in to d2. Everything is fine, then it happens again. im like wow why is vista so gay.

I was wondering if anyone else has vista and knows how to solve this problem.

(also if youve seen that MAC/PC commercial, its exactly the same. [MAC has offered a solutation; cancel or allow?] Neways take my advice and STICK WITH WINDOWS XP. IT KICKS VISTAS ASS. )

You can run D2 in Compatiblity mode or whatever it's called I believe.

Vista is only good with current software, anything madfe before it Vista was made sucks and doesn't work really well.

Also the Vista Beta detected my neighbor's wireless internet and therefore kept disconnecting me from my internet and trying to establish a connection with his wireless internet "HIGHCEE". However, I don't have anyway to connect to a wireless network, and it'd attempt to connect to the wireless netword "HIGHCEE" by connecting to it through a wired connection.

So all in all... it'd disconnect me from the internet, and attempt to connect to a non-existant wired wireless network...

That's easy to fix! Go to a torrent site, and download XP.

I saw this about 2 weeks before i got my new computer.

Also ill have to see if my dad will let me get XP on this comp. Its supposed to be his comp as well. Ive been trying to explain to him why vista is so bad... but idk ill see what happened.

Also i need a not good char to make with the name VlSTA. Vista was taken so i did the noob rip-off i hate where u put a lowercase "L" instead of an uppercase "I". W/e its still a not good name.

EDIT : this was on page 13 of the funny video thread. Yes. i did spend 3 days going through that and watching 90% of the videos.

I have a great discount to get this for my laptop -like 10 bucks and they ship it to me- what's the difference?

My mother got it for one of her computers and the only difference I saw were some new buttons and a new clock...what am I missing?

if it is its because vista makes it so u cant play old games, you need to "cancel or allow" everything, and theres all the gay warnings about everything.

all you have to do is in the properties menu put -w after the target line. And that will make it run in a window mode. It is a little annoying at first but you will get used to it being in a widow frame.
