Rules:
-LLD101 Rules will be in affect for all classes except as noted in OPEN classes
*LVL 9 OPEN - Any character, skill, weapon, ability is legal. This includes slow, mercs, pets, charged weapons etc.
*LVL 18-20 OPEN - Any Character is legal. Slow and Charged weapons may not be used.
*Lvl 27-30 OPEN - Any LLD101 legal character is allowed. LLD101 rules apply for each character class.
-To gain a spot you must defeat the person directly ahead of you, if you are not on the ladder you have to challange the person in the lowest spot and work your way up.
-Duels must be best 3 out of 5, both players must agree on the winner of the duel. If there is no agreement on the winner the duels will be redone with a referee.
-In order to move up a spot, you must post a screenshot of your victory and the other person agreeing in the screenshot, or both duelers must post in this thread.

Grace Period
-Person challenged has 3 days (72 hours) to duel the challenger or arrange a mutually agreed on time for the duel. Failure to respond will result in a loss and dropping a position. (NO IFs ANDs or BUTs)
-After WINNING a match, you may not be challenged for 2 days.
-After LOSING a match, you still may be challenged.
-Your character has one challenge per day. After issueing a challenge you may not challenge another person with that character for 24 hours, though you may challenge another with a different character.

Ok, this is the second time I have posted this. It somehow got deleted during the moronic incident of 03/05/05.
I took over responsibility for the Dueling Ladder with cat_funt's blessing because I did not want to see a GREAT idea die. We are all in debt to him for creating and maintaining the original ladder.
There have been a few changes made in order to streamline the classes and make them more manageable. Also there have been some revisions to the rules. I have done the changes in bold print. Please take the time to review these. I will also now keep track of match wins and losses.
If you are not currently on the ladder you must duel to get on it. Issue a challenge to the lowest character on the list. If you win you will take that spot. If you lose you will take the highest vacant spot. That way everyone has to duel to join. No freebies. The only exception is if the ladder you want to be on is totally vacant. Then it is first come first served. Everyone else will have to duel you to get on.
OK so it is up and running (again). Now put me to work.

2fat beat you to it on the #3 caster challenge. You will have to await the outcome of 2fat vs Atomicman. I will put you in on the open class. Everyone else will have to duel you to get ranked.

updated......please let me handle the corrections Feckin.....I won't have any more flame wars here....thanks. 
I think her challenge was for your #3 spot on Zealer. You win, so you retain your position. That should put to rest the old argument. Now if you want #2 on Melee you need to issue a challenge for it. However, You have to wait in line because she has a challenge to answer for that spot already.

The 27-30 Caster Ladder is full (although I may have to expand it to 5) 2fat has challenged atomicman for the #3 spot and hellfireclanx is awaiting his chance. Then you have the next challenge. Or you can immediately challenge DizzyDeath for the #1 27-30 Open spot. If you lose you would be placed #2 there. I am not filling vacant spots by simple request. Everyone must duel thier way onto the ladder.

im giving up my ladder spots, my new work hours wont let me be on when most of you guys are on so more than likely ill go way over my 3 day limit every time, its not fair to anyone
maybe ill go on the lvl 18s but thatll be when i can get on when everyone else is on...

Can I cancel my request to duel for #3 caster
Instead I want to duel myself for the #1 open spot 
I'll have Belarathon be on one char and I'll post a screenshot of who wins...
or am I not allowed to do that?
