I like to play my 35smiter, probly one of the best 30-40 smiters you'll see, but im getting too many complaints when in public low duel games that a 35 isnt low and is unfair. Just wanting some of yalls imput on this. Thanks =D

Well, it is unfair...There are level reqs on the classes for a reason - to balance things. I would have no problem dueling you as long as you realized that you weren't a low level dueler, but you're bound to face complaints, especially since you're a smiter. It's like those lvl 35 necs that it seems almost everyone has (at least on ladder) that consider themselves low lvl duelers.

Meh.

No, it is not fair. What do melee characters get as they approach and reach level 35? Guillaumes? what else? The better part of nothing? +8min as a prefix? IAS jewels? NOt much.

Smiters, on the other hand, get +1skill rings, +2tree items, fanatacism, shaels, and a shitload of damage from more +skills.

Oh yea, and the +skill im talking about is holy shield.

100%cb, higher OW, more IAS, more holy shield, +2tree gear, more life/mana... on a SMITER no less. Level 28 smiters are plenty good enough. 35 is most definitely mld.

yeah, definitly not fair, mld all the way there. lld imo is 9-18 (but I will accept up to 30, and I to am now going to make 1 or 2 lvl 30's just to compete)

35 on a less powerful build (singer, kicker, bowzon, melee sorc, etc) I can understand. I personally took my kicker to 35 and trust me when I say that despite being the best 35 kicker on East NL (still need to face Matic's new one) she still gets rocked by good 30 and under melee. Bel's 27-29 zealot killed it, Mei's 30 druid rocks it, etc.

A smiter however is already an overpowered build as is. It is considered the most powerful semi-melee next to Whirlwind and certainly does not need to be made any more powerful with extra levels and gear. Necros are similar, they are essentially at the top of the caster food chain and certainly don't need to be made more powerful with more levels.

All that aside, if you want to duel at 35 just be fair and hostile people your level and above. If someone lower hostiles you, that is their problem. 35 is not truly mld or lld, it is somewhere inbetween. If anything it is the very low end of the mld spectrum or the very high end of the lld, I think it depends on the build. Most 35s will not be able to touch a good mld. (40+)

i would have to agree with phyre,i habe 35 kicker as well,i mostly use it 4 pubies and to mess with friends or even sometimes duel few lvl 35+ chars if they come to games.

and yes lvl35 smiter is already way way overpowered.so no i would say keep smiter at 29 or 30

many people at the beginning of the ladder season went to 35, for the sake of being stronger because of the lack of good items. anyone on NL making a level 35, isnt a LLD. they are MLD, or a random public that knows nothing of LLD, but thinks they do.

Aren't most 35's the same? Isn't there even less... gear diversity with 35's than with 30's and under?

well, at 31 you can get much more stats on rare items.
amulets, circlets, belts, clubs and hammers can all have +15 strength.
(strangely enough, scepters and maces have a clvl req of 41, yet "melee weapons" have a clvl req of 44. arent maces, scepters, clubs and hammers all "melee" weapons? Rolling Eyes )

and same goes for dexterity.amulets, bows, crossbows and circlets can get 15 dex at clvl 32.

Waterwalks are level 32. lance guard for a smiter at 35. suicide branch at 33. thats about all i can see.

if it were me, and i wasnt paying attention to rules, id just goto level 37. many nicer mods available there. or 38 for shaftstop.

like 7%FHR jewels.

or

Lord's +101-120 to Attack Rating, Damage: +66-80%
Fool's + (16.5 Per Character Level) 16.5-1633.5 To Attack Rating / + (0.5 Per Character Level) 0.5-49.5 To Maximum Damage (Based On Character Level)
Godly +101-200% Defense
Performance +9-14 to Minimum Damage
Quickness 40% Attack Speed Increase

Yeh i do say that i am NOt a LLD char, i only use him for fun in public games, but in terms of MLD would 35 smiter truly be fair? i use him in HLD games, if he had resists he would duel lvl 65+ easy. With 100% cb, he kinda hurts heh..

Oh and to LLD_Master, whisper me somtime on *meshin sometime, if you wanna duel my 35 for fun, up to you im on UsEast NL.

31-41 is like the level 9s of MLD. a good level 35 smiter vs a good level 65+ anything, will die.
