Subject description: I don't have a clue

I just wanted to make a decent level 49 foher to kill mid-level pubs that come in LLD games. I have never made an mld or even a level 30 LLD for that matter, thus I am clueless on how to build one.

A few questions I have are:

Are there different types of fohers? (hybrids, life, tank, etc)
What kind of gear would a certain type use? (Only thing I know is that they will use foh stick.)
What are the skill layouts for a certain build?

I know it's really vague but I looked for mld Foher guides but none turn up. Any help is appreaciated.

At lvl 49, the best hybrid is a v/t. A c/t (charge/foh) can work but your charge damage isnt going to be very good at all

Outside of a foh stick, you should probably use a 20/-20 light facet armor of your choice (fhr, stats, life...) and a 3 combat circ w/ facets, 3 combat ammy, and sojs. Bloodfists, mages, trangs are all good glove choices (I say the fcr gloves because even though FoH is on a cooldown, speeding the cast animation can save your twig 'n berries). For a belt I suggest either string or a fhr/life/str/res belt. Tgods isnt bad to be stat'd for against other foh'ers and cs zons. Glooms trap is always a nice belt, esp to keep a nice mana pool. For boots either Waterwalks or some of the duped classic boots.

Switch wep slot depends on what you want to do. An oath sc and hoz is good for charging, a 3 combat scepter with ums/shaels is good for smiting, or a passion could be kept on switch for zealing if you wanted. Pretty much you are going to need 2 hoz's for this though.

if you can get your hands on aton of pcombs then the dmg difference should not be that large. for ammy, try armageddon slippers maybe ? and yah boots best bet would be some nice grim/soul spurs but gores would be nice for smiting with the dmg mods. the rest meegz covered i think...obviously shield = hoz...um..and thats about it.

for skillls....mess around abit at www.d2skills.com to find a combination you like best or one with most dmg output. skills can go anyway depending on preference and type of build.

Imo since you want a foher with a smite off skill, more than 1 point to smite and fanat will be wasted. Go with maxing holy shield, then work on your holy shock, that way you gain more def, block, and smite damage while retaining a good smite speed and keeping good foh damage.

Another thing to note...since oath does have 50 ias on it, it will work just fine for smiting with (the ctc bone spirit does do a fair bit of damage) and you can still do very nice charge damage
