Personally, I don't think UFO's exist, that is, in the sense of humans actually seeing them. Extraterrestrial intelligent life could have recognized the signs of our advanced civilizations from light years away, and no species in a lonely universe like ours capable of inter-galactic space travel finds another intelligent species, and instead of trying to communicate with them, begins a century-long campaign of causing weird things to happen and abducting people at random just to creep them out.

My point: Extraterrestrial beings have either found us already and aren't bothering with us (for obvious reasons, we're obviously not very attune to any universal enviromental standards), or we're fairly isolated from all other life in the universe and so far haven't been detected (but it could be a good thing, because the last thing we need is alien hippies telling us to make the switch to electric). It's highly illogical that any intelligent species that locates another intelligent species after travelling billions of light years, would make no attempt whatsoever at any formal contact with them.

But also, I think it is highly unlogical that aliens don't exist.

That would be awfully selfish to assume that we are the only intelligent life form in the whole universe. And when I say whole I mean the ongoing space we live in, that extends past the depths of our imagination. And also is out of our minds, because none of us can truly and fully understand the concept of infinte.

So 1,000,000 lightyears around us, I believe there is some alien life form.

Maybe one day, we can help each other answer the real question (and no the answer isn't 42).

Being a pedant, I'd like to point out that UFO's are unidentified flying objects, which does not imply ET's if taken literally. I believe that those exist, but not necessarily as visitors from other planets, which are highly improbably, according to our understanding of astrophysics.

Life itself is a difficult concept to pinpoint. What we may consider life may be too strict or lenient to even recognize life under current taxonomical standards.

I omitted about a zillion speculations and numbers I made after this point, because I realized that no one else would really care about them, and it'd only stifle their greatest weapon in their arsenal of relating to humans - their imagination. But nevertheless, I think finding, contacting, communcating (let alone first recognizing) life outside the solar system is an endeavor that puts the adage "needle in a haystack" to shame.

However, there isn't much intelligent life on our own planet, so i'm not ENTIRELY hopeful that there is INTELLIGENT life on other planets, but I can hope...
