Right now nearly all of my wealth is in ist runes on ladder. This is not a good place to have it, since when ladder resets they will be worth little more than dirt. I am looking for things that I can buy on ladder than will not devalue too much when the ladder resets. I could also buy non-ladder stuff with my ladder ists, but that is much more difficult. I am hoping to do this fairly soon, since it will be best to beat the rush that will happen when the reset is announced.

If someone could let me know how much the following non-ladder items are worth, in terms of each other, that would be awesome.
-ists
-high runes
-sojs
-pskulls
-assorted pgems
-lem, pul, um, and mal

I guess I could buy sojs, since non-ladder ones are quickly becoming worth as much as ladder ones. Any ideas or suggestions?

I suggest stocking up on eth DCs, high Griffon's, upgraded uniques, and other ladder only items.

on west, ist and mal runes on NL are 1:1 with high runes or sojs. ums are worth 1/2 a high/soj, and puls are a 1/4, though no one asks for puls.

as for pgems, last i saw:
12 rubies/amethysts/skulls = 1 rune

as well as:
4 hels = 1 rune
12 rals = 1 rune
4 million gold = 1 rune (to gamblers)

eth dcs are a huge deal, ladder rune words like grief or fort, griffons, fathoms, upped gore riders, arreats (aim for 500 def), upped eth titans, upped magefists, upped hozs, upped perf viper magis (theyre are highly sought after by hlder sorcs), and if all else fails trade for the usual good high runes zods, bers, jahs and after those chams vexs, and equals los vexs and mals.

heres my order of items to have top 10 style:

1: eth death cleavers (they go way way up in value invest in non duped ones if you can but if you cant afford try for a duped one even they go way up just not as much if legit)
2: upped gore riders (ones over 200 def go up in value even more)
3: upped arreats (get good high high def ones 500+)
4: good non duped griffons and fathoms (you will spend about equal to what they will be worth on nl but they are very highly sought after uniques making them super easy to trade)
5: griefs, forts, spirit shields, and any other useful runewords (save a few good lld runes words for both yourself and for trading)
6: any other useful upped uniques (some odd ball upped uniques are worth something to collectors but id say get whats good first then if youre bored go back and get some odd stuff like bloodfists, lenymo, gnasher, and other things that wont likely get upped)
7: runes (in order zod/ber/jah, cham/vex, ist/mal/sur/lo, and long distants are pul/gul and any others i might be missing, and last of all are crafting runes)
8: good uniques (both ladder only and nl/ladder ones)or regular runewords (ones that can be also found on nl)
9: tyreals might (they are mostly dupes but you get your hands on one they are super rare even though they are duped and are big collectors items)
10: sojs (only included this because most likely you will have a few when you convert, honestly dont keep more than you use because back on nl they will drop big time in price)

I plan N: in europe, I'd personally say to stock up on Spirits / Griffons / Upped eth Titans / some of the better ladder only runewords

HR's are worth toss all in NL as 90% are duped

I'm currently trying like mad to level up a sorc to do rune runs in ladder to make a batch of spirits Wink

Anyone got any [reliable] news on when reset wil be??

I am thinking of buying up some dreams and maybe even a lastwish.

I have a theory about the ladder reset, but not many people seem to agree with me. If you look at the rules for the World's Collide" contest ( http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/misc/d2ladder_contest_rules.shtml ) you can see that the third paragraph deals with the end of the contest.

Well, i'm thinking that a good hypothesis. And as for the Ladder items, i say stock up on any Ladder Only Items you can find, and Upgrade anything useful u can get your hands on.
