So... i have this idea for some time.
I don't cut my hair for like 6 months, it has like 10 cm right now (~4 inches), and was thinking on some new haircut. I always liked dreadlocks but never really did something about it. I may need to wait some more months before trying it tho.

there are basically 3 ways to do this:
1 - let your hair oiled like pancakes, by not washing it for 1+ week (oldskool rawr!)
2 - use dread wax/bee's wax
3 - find some professional (doh!)

have anyone tried it before?
other suggestions aside just cutting off all my hair?

you should try something cool... unless you're like a nu metaller or something

nah... i just like the style, and i just don't like gel/combing all the time for others haircuts

if you want nice looking dreads go to a professional but that costs a fair bit Sad

just letting your hair get matted up means you get a couple of big chunky dreads, many smaller ones and a lot of stray hairs which doesnt look that great + they are not very clean lol

for that dread look on the picture, i'd need first to do a permanent with pins so my hair becomes crisp, theeeeen actually doing the dreadlocks by kinda knitting them with some type of needles (did i spelled it right).

NOT nearly cheap Sad

I was seriously thinking of getting dreads a while ago. But its just too much trouble and its easy to mess up and get really stragley ones.

If you do want dreads i would get a dread kit and do the backcombing method with either a friend or someone who knows what theyre doing.
