hookah or bong?

One of the guys living in the top floor of our house this year was Indian, so he had a big ass hookah (authentic baby, all the way from india). He got us all into smoking it; myself and my buddies at school went out and bought one...he got us hooked.

He had a HUGE stash of shisha in a plastic bag...every flavour you could imagine. I would have to say my favourite was Tutti Fruiti.

I like the sticky skunky smelling one. Or the hashish flavoured one is kinda nice when u can find it.

When I lived in the Middle East, I was too clean to smoke the sheesha, but strawberry was the flavor of choice amongst my friends. If my memory serves me, "Wahid faraula" means "I want strawberry" in Arabic.

Also, water pipes are generally regarded as a much safer alternative to cigarettes. However, I don't know how factually accurate that is, as Big Hookah has a powerful spin machine.

Actually, hookahs aren't nearly as bad for you as, say, cigarettes. Even better is a vaporizer, which, when used properly, is actually good for your lungs and bronchi.

That being said, I find myself partial to kiwi.

they vaporize the tobacco but dont believe its good for you. they are MUCH less harmful then cigs or other common tobacco products. they still have tar and nicotine in the smoke however in much smaller amounts.

Went to a 24 hour hookah bar with some friends Saturday night from 1 to 5am. Had apple, it was pretty good. However, I still think strawberry is the best.

Noob old man question here:

When the hell did this become the latest fad? Seems many ppl here do it so I'm guessing its something many young people do. When I was in HS clove cigarettes were all the rage...when did this hookah thing take off?

I'm sooooooo fukn old Shocked

WTF...hookah bars?? What happened to oxygen bars?? OMG I am so behind the times! Embarassed

Heh, this is why it's bad to scan threads. I thought 'faraula' was someone talking about me (my last name being Farula).

I personaly haven't used a hookah, but wouldn't mind trying one. Found one at a head shop with 4 hoses for $120. I guess I'll stick to my bong till I find one to hit out of.

Also, I don't smoke cigs, so I can't comment on any flavored kinds.
