when you install, choose to install without cinematics.

that just means it has to play it from the disk, and it asks you for the cd every time you get to a part

i guess if i install with cinematics it wouldnt ask for the cd anymore... but i wanna know if i can just get fully rid of them

like to play with no sound u can type -ns
maybe theres something similar for the movies

just click "Cancel" when it asks to insert the disks?
the only cinematic it plays w/o the disc is the 2nd one going from act 4 to 5.
while changing acts after completion, just hit Esc twice (hit it 4 times when moving onto act 5 from act 4). that will solve the problem.

thats the problem though... i dont want it to ask for the disk, i want it to skip that part entirely
my game closes whenever i goto a new act because it has a problem when asking for the cinematics disk

try using my Esc Key method, double tapping (or quadruple taping for act 4 to 5) as soon as you accept to go to the next act whether it's talking to warriv or entering the portal in durance level 3.

the reason i'm asking this is because when i get rushes, i drop after every act when it starts asking for the cinematics cd
i suspect this is because i run d2 loader so i dont have to use the cd... my cds all scratched up

Sorry for OT, but do you need a CD to install and run d2loader?

yea u need d2char.mpq d2music.mpq, d2xmusic.mpq d2xvideo.mpq from the cd... a few of these are already installed with d2, its like the d2x ones that you need to copy

window mode is like 40 times darker, completely horrible to play in.
