I've noticed that with the right gear this could merrit 7-800 damage fire blasts and decent wake of fire damage to boot.
Could be fun in pubbies, anyone tried it?

I think it would be not bad for pubbies but hotspurs etc. would kill it in lld duels.

With utterly perfect gear (including 2/3 claws) and the bare minimum of unecessary skills (only non-trap skills were claw mastery and BoS) I calculated it to go for 987-1177 damage, with 262-301 WoF damage.

thats alil more than i expected lol i didnt calculate it really i just figurd like 800-900 didnt realize itd hit 1k. i may actually look into this build then =)

Well, 1k with PERFECT gear. From what i've heard finding good claws with skills for LLD's is pretty hard.

I use it some with my 30 Fire Trapper, but it's no WoF. My Shadow likes to throw them as well, which is a nice "free" damage source.

A fire blast assassin is usually only viable in MLD and HLD, mostly because you lay lit sentry traps, people then put sorb on... and then you fireblast em. Saw a really good one, pretty good lit dmg on traps and had a really nice fire trapper. He was BM though, nked and tged and then once you were forced to wear sorb he'd kill you.
