THAT'S when you know there are too many dupes around. When you have to make up a new word (perm) to determine whether or not an item will disappear on you or not. This implies of course that there are so many unpermed dupes out there that it necessitated an entirely new term to clarify the difference between a bad dupe and a good dupe essentially.

And not only that, but some people don't know what the word legit means??? LEGIT MEANS THAT AN ITEM WAS DROPPED IN GAME AND IS NOT DUPLICATED IN ANY WAY, ITS BNET ID TAG IS ONE OF A KIND, IT WILL NEVER POOF BECAUSE THERE IS NO EXACT REPLICA OF IT.

I know it's hard for some people to grasp the concept of a non-duped item, because they're using duped FCR rings (sloop, bloop, rloop, bband, dmaster, and so on), wiz gloves, 08 valk, duped ammies (Ghoul Heart, Wraith Collar, etc...), duped 3 p/b Darkforces, duped jewelers shields of deflecting, duped rare belts (Viper Cord), duped rare boots (imps, wraiths, etc...), duped charms, duped facets/other jewels, and the list just goes on and on and on.

People just automatically look for the cliched word "perm", and anyone can say an item is perm and charge more for it, even if they know perfectly well it isn't perm. And for most items, there's no way to tell if an item is perm or not. So it's all based on the honor system, and who the hell is stupid enough to trust immature moral-less bnet kids about whether they are telling the truth or not.

And everyone is paranoid that items are going to "poof" on them, and when it happens, they get mad. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for you. If you deal in dupes, you're gonna get burned somewhere down the line. That's the price you pay for unfairly putting yourself on a higher playing field than the people who prefer to play legitly. And I sure as hell don't want to hear any sob stories about poofing items. Not after blizz deleted all my 20+ max dmg jewels with the arrival of v1.10. I had a right to complain, my jewels were legit, and so were everyone else's 20+ max dmg jewels which blizz deleted for no good reason. No one has the right to complain when their wiz gloves or other "unpermed" items poof, because they've already reaped the benefits of cheating from using them, so they can just shut up and find a legit way to play, or keep on showing their weakness by continually buying these dupes to unfairly enhance their chance of winning.

For someone who's played legit his entire D2 career, this stuff kinda annoys me. These pathetic kids who use dupes and hacks all day to improve their sub-par dueling skill almost make me want to quit D2. But then I remember...LLDing is practically free of this kind of scum, and I realize that if I never got into LLDing, I wouldn't be playing this game or posting on these forums right now.

Ive had a few ladder lums and a pair of bloodfists poof on me, seriously there one day gone the next, its sad what some people dupe, and no Ive looked on every single one of my characters the bloodfists and lums werent there.

i guess those are west only? ive never seen one on east

anyway...dupes are pathetic. they are basically for people who lack the ability to play their builds, so they have to use an illegally gained item.

Yeah, those were most of the jewels I believe.

they had a bunch of "fused" items (wiz gloves, occy rings, soulflay gloves, etc.) on east back in .09 but i think they were all cleared up when 1.10 hit, thank god.
