So yeah, I know I didnt get invite into closed beta. :(
Anyone who got in and wants to share his/hers experiences?

i tried the terran for about 2 hours last week (havent had more time)

have never played SC so i spent a lot of time trying to figure out what can do what. i have played westwoods dune series so i enjoy strategy to some degree.

overall it is just an awesome strategy game, i have heard complaints on forums that it is too much like scI, so in that regard i see no reason anyone would bother to play scI. this has ridiculous good graphics, feel, and some crazy custom map editors

Damn, Im so jealous of you! I wanted to get into that beta testing so bad! Oh well..

Its too much like sc1?... I say thats BS even without playing in the beta I know that this game will NOT be like the first one.

I suggest you to test out SC, its one of the very first games I played on a computer with an actualy operating system besides from DOS... (lol). I loved the story in SC + its expansion.

I really hope that the voice acting in the game is also done well.
Think you could have any comments on the voice acting in there? For some reason, its somewhat important to me, that the voice acting would be done well.

Graphics are gonna be awesome.. well come on its frigging blizzard afterall. :D

Also, I never played Dune, but I do have played Dune 2 and it was frigging awesome game.

Oh and, could you give me some comments on the game musics too? :S

well i mean the videos online show you exactly what you are going to get, A lot of amazing looking shit for the money

i tried the cracked beta and have only played against the computer so my strategies are somewhat limited. playing against humans is radically different.

zerg has changed the most. roaches are the new hydras, queens with their spawn larva spell mean that zerg can accelerate a lot faster from the start and you don't need as many hatcheries. creep is a lot less of a limiting factor. the nydus worms are very powerful and can pop up anywhere

terran plays about the same. they are even more flexible than in the first game. very powerful air units, buildings can move in the air a lot faster. infantry feels even more powerful than in the first game. nukes are much easier to get. reapers are a awesome hit and run units. the flamethrower bikes mow down zealots and zerglings

protoss is also very similar though i miss the dragoons. their ability to teleport units feels less useful than i thought it would be. motherships are pretty sweet. archons are easier to get. zealots feel like they die quicker

the number of different strategies has definitely expanded. workers can now mine automatically and you can select more units and multiple buildings so there is more concentration on strategy and less on the mundane tasks. in the end there is a lot more of rock paper scissors type gameplay than in the first game and you can't rely on any one unit to win it for you.
It's still the beta though and I'm sure things will change even more when the real game comes out.

Found about that few days ago. :(
Been playing quite alot it.

If only thouse roaches would shoot into air :twisted: (without their normal stats being nerfed). Well, i guess their range would still make them less awesome, but still. :p

Also, I guess its worth mentioning about thouse upgraded gateway's. teleporting units from the building in ~1second into anyspot with beam(from pylons and there where few other sources too i think). Kinda crazy :S
