not worth it if you compare how much elemental dmg you absorb, with how much damage your fiss will make.
And since it only absorbs elemental dmg, id say that's another big - since there are alot of physicals in 30ish since i guess that's what your aiming for. If it's 49 there are allways plenty of baba's there.

agreed, it's not very useful, i put base armageddeon on my fissure druid for fun and it only absorbs around 150ish dmg iirc, which is really only enough for about 2-3 foh

im pretty sure cyclone armor also absorbs damage based on having 0 resists. so a typical fireball will do ~500 damage to your cyclone, meaning your cyclone armor will absorb maybe 1/4 of one fireball.

Pretty sure this is right. Cyclone gets checked right after pvp penalty, before resists/damage reduction. Similar to Bone armor and ES.

I think getting armageddon would be fun, but is the damage loss from skilling wind skills over fire worth it?

I do 1.2k fissure with base armageddeon, if i didn't skill it i would be doing 1.5k or 1.6k fissure, armageddeon does about 650-800 or do. Also, tornado does about 150 dmg which i actually use somtimes during cast delay of fissure.
