So i found a 15ed/3ar 5 socket stag bow a while ago and thought i'd give an 18 bowa a try. I'm going to be using a 2bow nef'd 4x 15max bow until i find another 3x 18-19maxers for my perf bow

Anyway, here is what I was thinking about for gear:

Gear

Amulet Eye of etlich (1skill + cold dmg!) or 1passive/30+life/+mana amulet

Rings 2x bitter holds or 1x bitter + 1x Min/Dex/Mana ring

Bow 15ed/3ar stag bow with 1x nef and 4x 18-19max jewels

Circlet 25-30%ED/20%RW circ or +1passive/20%RW circ or a RARE 20-30%ED/20%RW circ with either +Dex/+min/+1passive. I will socket the circlet with 2x 20%ED/6dex jewels.

Armor Twitch with 19-20max jewel

Boots Cow Kings ofc

Gloves + belt Deaths

Javs amp ias javs

Shield I figure swordback would be a good choice here, which will allow me to switch back and forth when i shoot arrows, allowing my arrows to trigger open wounds on my target when they hit. I figure another good choice would be pelta, as i feel that the FBR will help a lot when I'm going to have to melee.

use swordback, since i assume you're using lightning bolt - if you melee, you're going to jab so you don't need fbr

Yea, i'm going to be using a bitter hold....lil lame, i know, but ive got one lying around so I'm just going to use it.

Also, you think lightning bolt would be more effective? If so, then i guess i'll scrap the points in Jab + Penetrate and put 1 in Poison Jav and 1 in Lightning Bolt?

Hehe, I gave him the same exact tips that I'm giving Fudge, so I'm glad to hear it works.

Though to be fair, I learned it all from SoaringSquirrel - and his level 18 zon was amazing.

But yeah, I wouldn't waste a point in penetrate since neither Guided nor Lightning requires AR to hit. Plus I probably wouldn't go with a point in Poison either, since it's useful only against a small fraction of builds and pretty easily negated.

Not true, you can get 1-2dmg cold sc's or 1-3 that are lvl 4-12

Just look for a jewel with like 1-5 cold damage, I am sure they are not that hard, I try and put a jewel with cold damage in anything i make pretty much even if most of my level 15 chars use azure.

Eye of Etlich is pretty solid, and I'd use it unless you could find an amazing rare with ideal mods. The cold damage is just icing on the cake.

Assuming you could find an amazing rare, I wouldn't worry about the cold damage SC. Most builds use Death's at level 18, and the few builds that don't wear Death's don't need attack speed. I'd just keep a SC in the stash for the occasional duel where it might make a difference.

My ideal build would have a +1 Passive rare with 10 Rep and then dual Manald Heal rings.

yea im probably not going to bother with the cold damage.....although it wouldnt hurt to have an sc lying in my stash incase i am facing someone without cbf

I'm hunting hard for that ammy, i'd be happy with a 1passive/40mana ammy personally, anything else is really just icing.

40mana vs 20% mana regen....which would you choose? Using 1x manald is looking pretty decent right now: rep life, mana regen, life. I think the mana regen will pay off more in the long run

You might wanna ith your Swordback. Guided uses a lot of mana, and you probably wont have much... You might also want to consider a VBSoD with 2x iths for up to 42% dtm.

ideally, 10x 15life/6-7mana scs = 60-70mana

4x 7rw/25+mana gcs = 100mana

30+mana on my ammy

that'll be around 230mana?
