This would be used in 18-20 Open Arena, if it'll work. Now that I've finished my cheap 18 Smiter, I thought I might make a more serious character, probably for arena.

I know that these should really be my only java/bow skills. I'm confused about where to put points in skills like Critical Strike, Dodge, Avoid, Inner Sight, and Penetrate. IS and Penetrate should probably be left at a minimum because I'll only be using Jab when I need to have a shield out, ie with melee characters/chargers who can outrun me. But is there a skill set that anyone would recommend for points between Dodge and CS or something?

Hell rush is an option too, if it makes it easier.

rogues bow only needs 80 ias for the bp so i would suggest not using twitch and use a 3 jeweled armor or switch the gloves to bloodfist. knockback is also usually helpful so maybe nef the bow.

there is no strict guide of how to do amazon skills, you put points into the skills until you feel the diminishing returns isnt worth it anymore and they would be better invested somewhere else. just play around with the skill calculator.

I'd say max Guided Arrow for your level. Like Vietthehand commented, best choice is socketing a Nef rune in your Rouge's Bow since you need a source of knockback when using a bow. Another choice is using Cleglaw's Pincers instead of socketing a Nef rune in your bow, but it might be a bit bad mannered (25% slow).

The way I understood it, we weren't going to have an '18-20 Open' in the Arena. Instead it will just be '18 Open'.

Plus, Guided Zons are restricted to level 18 under the old rules that contained an 18-20 Open class.

4 x maxer 1 x nef superior stag bow.
70% ed 20% frw(1 passive,mana, life, dtm, dex+, etc) Dream on circlet.
maxer twitch, deaths gloves/belt, angelic ring amu/rare mana ar/dex ring, cow king boots.
Switch KB/amp/Lightning/etc warjavs with swordback (eth/ith/pdiamond/maxer/stat jewel etc.)

Skill 1 in lightnining bolt.

Find a nice combination of life/mana/dex/maxer/frw

My friend had one. It was decent, but max block hurts it bad. As does VERY low mana, and relatively high mana costs per GA. Unless you want to use mana pots, i wouldnt recommend this character.

You could go for a lvl 18 or 20 (if you insist on 20 for the bow) jabber with a bow on switch for runners or for fun. It would be much more successful.

Also for your VBSoD i would put some 20 ed jewels in it, preferably with additional DTM as well. Since you already have a good deal of maxers, i believe this will add more damage overall (i could be wrong though).

you chose to be lvl20 for what? rogues bow?
no sanders boots on a lvl20 ga zon?
lvl20 3frw scs? you mean max/ar/5frw lcs? or max/ar/7frw gcs?

i would suggest a mixture of 6/xx/frw gcs and frw/mana gcs. maby 6maxers/4 frw mana gcs would be a good ratio? with 15/add (mana would be best) fillers because mana is bloody anoying to say the least. imo you would do better not to make an all dex build because i tryed it at level 18 and although it got to about 450dmg iirc with a stag bow i have seen other variation and they seemed to do better with a vita build.
