Accurate breakpoint-hack information?

Well, that genie's out of its bottle... Question is, is it real? The fact that it modifies things client-side is definite, but what about server-side? Whether building duelers in D2 is worth it anymore depends on that question, and I've yet to see a solid answer.

SOMEONE here must've done some testing.

I'm almost positive the FCR bp hack works. but I still build my casters with as much fcr as possible, don't need to cheat to get my ears. =)

How does it work?
Apparently all of the character "breakpoints" are stored on

How do i use it?
Simply place Animdata.d2 into the Data/Global directory

C:\Program Files\Diablo II) and create a folder named
Global inside of the data folder, then place AnimData.d2
into the global folder. Once that is complete go to your
Diablo II shortcut on your desktop or wherever it may be,
Yes, you need a shortcut, and right click it then select
Properties. Locate the "Target:" box and go to the very
end of it. AFTER THE QUOTES type ONE space then add
-direct -txt and press apply. Open up D2 with that shortcut
and it is installed and ready to go.

Is this detectable?
As far as im aware of no. It is the same concept as nightlight,
Farcast, and GMOD(all created by TfW and QQ-Pat <3) and is based
on client-side edits.

Can i edit the frames myself as i see fit?
Yes, i encourage you to alter this to fit your needs, i have not
had enough time to properly work with the Increased Attack Speed
frames, and this would help production greatly.



this is a direct quote from the original public release of this crap ass mod. there's also a little bit of info in the last paragraph on how to edit it, but i didn't copy that much of it, as it contains numerous urls i did not feel like taking the time to censor.

basically it involves opening the mod file with a spreadsheet viewer and then changing your base speeds to what you want them to be. if you drop them too low, it will glitch on your screen and you wont' be able to see what's happening (as far as fcr goes. ias you still can see). not only will you not be able to see spells cast, but you won't be able to hit enemies as a result of the "chain lightning" bug. something to do with an enemy getting hit twice within a very short period of time wont' take damage.

the creator is getting ripped by other hackers because he publicly released this piece of garbage. now it's possible to build a char without thinking about fhr/ias/fcr/fbr. which means that so long as someone knows exactly how to edit the base speeds and understands how to utilize this in the proper manner gearwise, it will require little to no skill or forethought to build a competent pvp char.

and in response to gheed's propaganda: no one has been banned yet to the knowledge of a rather large forum userbase. but, what the hell do i know, right? it's just an attempt to keep people from using it.

hope that answers any questions and clears up all confusion about this mod.

This is called "next-delay" or something like that. I first learned about it awhile sifting thru amazonpk stuff. Take strafe for example, using a high level strafe, once you hit an enemy, all hits aimed at the enemy there-after, will automatically miss, for a certain amount of frames.

The question isn't what the mod does but whether the stuff it does works.

If it does, the question becomes how well that stuff works, and how much of an effect it will have on dueling.

yes, it does work...if you know what to put as your base framerate to prevent the next delay glitch (thanks to oh for a deeper explanation on that). and that is the hard part.

as far as the effect it will have on dueling...it's hard to say. it'll mostly be used by high level duelers, since very few people of the community where it was originally released lld. still, i'm sure there are a few llders who will abuse this. the impact it could have on the dueling community as a whole is very up in the air at this moment, pending the spread and understanding of how to use it.

Why does it matter to you? You won't be able to tell if people are using it... it seems like a bad idea to tell you if it works or not... or if you'd get banned or not because then people might actually use it.

which part of "it works" is so difficult to understand?

ALL OF THIS INFORMATION IS STORED CLIENTSIDE. meaning that, yes, it works on closed battle.net servers. if you would like, i can show you in game.
