I'm having alot of trouble being knocked back in smite duels, but it is only some smiters that knock me back every hit, yet i cant knock them back. I was wandering if anyone knows of something specific that knocks people back?

could be range? griefz vs pb

i can say for sure that dopplesorc's using delerium smite speed have to "wall" or "corner up" to duel, or they'll bounce off eachother and never break PI.
note that dopplesorc cannot use a weapon when they smite so they're effectively range 1 (or zero? iono. equal range in any case) and also that deli smite is like 12-15 (or higher, depending on host/join speed) hits per second.

I dont think it has to do with range, which was my original thought, because i have had the same trouble with both pb and z users.

I've also tried using the heavy class armour (full plate mail), aswell as the heaviest boots (shadowdancers), neiter of which make a difference.

Counted that in to, im at 48% (i think the bp's that), but i dont get knocked back by some 86% and i get knocked back by some with no bp, im really at a loss for this ;/

IIRC, Jerkazoid mentioned that between every attack there's a frame (or a few) where it becomes interruptible, regardless of whether it's Conc, Zeal, Jab, or whatever other melee attack. If this applies to Smite as well, it may account for the knockback if it occurs early on in the duel, provided both characters attack at the same FPA and neither use slow.

smite is a skill that has kb incorporated into it at some %

go try it pvm against non-uniques....you'll see it kb stuff at random hits

If you are set on "run" as opposed to "walk", smite will oftentimes knock you back.

Always make sure you are walking when you duel smiters, as well as any other melee for that matter, so you won't get knocked back and so your blocking will be at its fullest.

I know with my smiter, I would see people run up to me, and all duel they would just get knocked back without even scoring a hit, and they'd be like WTF!?!?!
