So far, I am considering CalTech and Berkley. Any other good universities in teh US that has a good engineering course? By engineering, I mean overall. However, I am not looking for things like ceramics engineering or food engineering. Try somewhere along the lines of aerospace engineering, or computer engineering.

Anywhere else thats good other than Caltech or Berkley? (I dont really want to go to MIT, dont ask)

My school, Rowan University, doesn't have Aerospace but it does have the following 4:
Electrical and Computer
Civil and Environmental (my major)
Chemical
Mechanical

We're ranked pretty high in undergrad in the nation though I forget the exact numbers. Rowan is a teacher's college for the most part; it used to be called Glassboro State Teacher's College. However, about 10 years ago Henry Rowan (some big oil tycoon) decided to donate $100 million to create an engineering program at Rowan. Us engineers comprise less than 5% of the student body but we know what we're doing. We provide a clinic based program where you get you start gaining application experience from Day 1.

Anyway, I'm in a bit of a rush because I have to go to work but if you're interested, I could go more in depth as to what Rowan has to offer.

If you can't spell Berkeley properly, they definitely won't let you in. Wink I don't know if it's gotten more lax in the past fifteen years, but I had a friend whose older brother was put on a waiting list to get in, and he had a 4.0 with plenty of extra-curricular activities. Unless you're a crippled minority woman from a poor family, I'm not sure that's an easy place to get into. But then, maybe it's loosened up since then. I know two girls that went there recently, and one is a bit... ditzy. (Majored in English, to boot.)

I believe CalTech works with Jet Propulsion Laboratories (JPL), so if you're looking for aerospace engineering, there really isn't a better choice. As to what Diplomat said, the military offers several incredible colleges with excellent training. West Point and Annapolis have good programs (West Point being the better choice), and I hear the Air Force academy isn't bad, either.

Well, I was planning to be an engineer, but my prospects sort of went up, but I'm planning to go to Berkeley (or Stanford, I know, laem) too. Hm. As for Engineering, I can't really argue with CalTech, JPL is the capital of that world. Lol, they can make a car powered by a balloon ( one balloon, normal size) go 200+ feet. Now thats engineering. Also, this might be pm material, but where u live? I live in walnut creek, east bay. Post in mesh's thread for duelers near you, cuz Cali only has two at the moment ( me and knarl ) Also, good luck getting into "Berkley". Laughing
