So I recently made a lvl30 light sorc and I'm a little dissappointed with the outcome. She does a respectable 3.1k max dmg with a godly 2 min dmg Razz

My main issues are;

1. slow casting - I hit the 105bp however it still seems slow.

2. inconsistant dmg - not much I can do here...this is characteristic of light dmg on sorc for the most part.

3. No alternate spell - The cold sorc I made was fun because you could switch to ice blast while blizz was going (which actually did more dmg then blizz and came in handy for tankin ppl). The light sorc has charged bolt which is pretty much a joke.

I think I would enjoy this sorc if she could get to the next fcr bp but I don't think thats possible at this lvl.

Maybe another char to add to my mule collection....a fire sorc is almost ready to roll off the production floor.

117 FCR is the BP for lightning, and against some characters, particularly zons, Charged Bolt is useful to put them into Dodge lock animation.

I always thought lightning used weapon IAS, i guess i'm behind the times.

With my light sorc, I used Tstorm, and E sheild along with lighting.

Tstorm to make up for the min damage.

Esheild to make up for the slow fcr.

I used a orb for both pre cast and lighting, so if you're using spirit you might not get over the 3k. My Tstorm was roughtly 300-500, and a 3.1k lighting.

yeah before .10 lit and chain lit both used your weapon ias/speed for casting purposes (like sins laying traps)

tstorm is a nice skill and cb is great for the lil damage that it does (low mana cost near effortless aim skill needed and the fact it uses the normal casting frame rates instead of lit and chain lits)
