ok sooo my lvl 30 ww didnt turn out so good. so scratch that

now im trying a smiter

if lvl 30, i guess imma use a peasant cap for frw and life.
if lvl 34, i have a +1 pally 14 str 54 life 23 mana 18 all res circ, which i like a lot. and would probably pruby it.

weapon: 40 ias crystal with amplify dmg, +1 paladin (shael'd)
armor: twitch/ pruby
rings: sojs
Ammy: combat amulet
Boots: if lvl 30+ i'll use water walks, other wise i guess i would just use sandersr

gloves : upped bfist
belt: 17 fhr 55 life, 23 fire res 13 cold res belt/ or SoE

SHIELD : should i use hawk branded barb of deflection?
if so where can i shop this and what are the place with the highest chance.

or i would use upped swordback i blieve that its around lvl 30


skills:

max holy shiled
max fanta
rest into smite

for weapon switch, im thinking of finding a foh/conviction scepter, and making an honor, but the odds of that are... slim lol iono what to do really.

good ideas to start with. and yes, the best thing you can use is a hawkbranded/deflect barbed shield. the best place you can shop them is @ hell drognan, make a game til you get the exit of town right next to him, etc...

and if you do go over 30 for one, you posted in the wrong place. for two, there was just a lvl 35 smiter discussion if i remember correctly, so just check the first page or two for that.

the crystal sword is nice, esp the amp dmg. if you want an alternative to that...try using a +fanat scepter and shael it til you get your breakpoints.

for the boots, i suggest you go with goblin toes. remember, your a smiter, and crushing/open wounds @ low lvls is what you want. another thing, you'll need cbf, so i suggest you use spirit shroud for your armor. the rep life and plus skills are pretty handy too

the gloves are good, and if you want to mess w/ ppl stick some clegaws in your stash.

At 34 wouldnt guils be a good suggestion? Assuming ds and cb work on smite.

and yeah...a 15/15 (res/ias) in your guillames would be a jolly good time, hehe. bout the only other thing you could put in it to any use would be a shael rune or a p ruby. and @ lvl 35 fanat is ok to use. lvl 6 base fanat+ skills makes it decent enough ias/dmg to use instead of conc/might.

i just made a 35 smiter on single player i think, ill go look and see what i did with him and let you know.

alright...here's how it looks...you will need to use a single 15 ias jewel w/ your shael'd crystal and blood fists on. the final bp requires 65% ias with a lvl 10 fanat (easy to get @ lvl 35...2xsojs+shroud+crystal=lvl 10)

the way i built...i put a resist/ias jewel into his armor and resist/requirement jewel into his helm and shael/shael his sheild. if you want to take the time to get 2 shields, you can shael/shael one and double p diamond another. i had 2 points left over after i maxed smite, holy shield, and fanat, so i got holy freeze for those dumb pubs. the build has 60% crushing blow, and 15% ds for charging. btw, i also suggest you up that crystal to a dimensional so you do decent damage w/ a charge.

the pala had just over 3k defense (nonup'd bfists or goblin toes) and did 627-794 smite damage. also, no prebuff scepter/spirit was used for holy shield so you could save a few pts into dex there, im tired and just realized that. getting over 1k life should be very easy, too.
