ok ive heard both that mf help rune drops and that it doesnt wat is it JERKAZOID I NEED your INTELLECT ive done bout 200 hell countess runes with my cs zon no mf at alll.... and best ive gotten was an io rune.

mf has no effect on the rune drops at all.

And god knows those bastard runes never drop where you want...every time I found a Highrune in my life...it was never at a bosses....

u should get an io for 80 runs... so your just unlucky
she drops 1-2 runes each time... and 0 or 3 rarely

as a general note, more players will not have a large effect on countess rune drops.. so just do them by yourself as fast as possible.. u dont need to search for big games (in fact, dont do that)

as said.. mf will not effect what drops. it just makes things turn from one type of magical quality to another (ie magical to rare or set or unique)

the countess will NOT make u rune rich,, it is just the best place to build up quickly, a good supply of amn - sheal,, and a slow and steady way to get some dol - lums,, anything beyond that and your killing yourself with runs imo, (wasteing time) it would be wiser to put your time into getting rushes and getting mules to NM and hell forge. this way can actually build up substantial trade wealth with runes.

Well since you brought up Forge runs. Does the number of chars in the game help get more items to drop? If so, do they have to be in your party/same act/River of Flame?

actually i think you might get more gems if others are partied in the area and getting the quest

however if your self rushing, or somehow u got two+ chars, defienetly do the forge seperatly in new games (unparty and only do 1 at a time) to get a chance for a good rune each time.

when doing hell forge quest with 2 people who need the quest, if you;re partied, youll get double the amont. 2 runes, 2 pgems 4 flawless, 2 norm. or 3 runes, 3 pgems, 6 flawless, 3 norm, for 3 people. etc.
