vs charger, use a few str charms to put on a 15% soe (if you're using a belt with str that is) and just keep fissures on yourself and around you. they have a 1/4 chance of hitting you (- what little defense you have) and i really doubt you'll get 1-hit ko'd. if they kill your sage, you know where they are. the only char i cant beat consistantly with my fissure druid (when +max fire res gear isnt used) is a good trapper. |
Realm uswest is a weird place.

well there arent many "good" chargers on us west that i can think of. there are a few attempted regen chargers with like 500 hp that just suck, and none of the high dmg insight chargers use desynch, they just run around in circles and run in and try to charge once in a while. so they arent really much of a challenge i'd love to duel a good charger from east, see how my fissure druid holds up

You're in for a treat once ladder resets waramp. There are plenty of annoying bastard chargers on non ladder. And not the 500 life kind.
A charger and bowazon should be very hard for a fissure druid.

i dont plan on playing much when ladder resets, if at all. if i get inspired i might start over on ladder, but that remains to be seen.

My fissure barely lost in any duels when I was on NL.
Waramp, how do you lose to trappers? Just recast and laugh...
Stack fissures against chargers, if they aren't regen chargers then they'll die before you...
Never had problems with bow zons, mainly because I'm not going to chase them for 10 screens. I'll just stop and walk out of their screen and laugh when they run out of arrows. Also recast oak infront of you to take some arrow hits (same way to kill kickers).

I've yet to see a Fissure druid that can effectively damage my c/t if I use a Nokozan relic and Cleansing aura. And I'm not even a pure Regen build.

People are really telling me to walk vs. a bow zon?
Have you ever tried walking up to a bow zon and namelocking them? While they are shooting 8 fpa knockback arrows at you?
Not to mention that namelock fissure doesn't hit anyone with decent frw. You need to fissure in front of them in order to hit a moving target.

I think they are all telling the truth based on their own dueling experience. My guess is there's no good bowzon, or charger at all on uswest.
Knockback is not necessary for a bowzon vs any char, let alone a fissure druid. The only time I like to put on knockback is when zon v zon and the other zon is using knockback.
But, I do suggest all LLD build to get 75% block. At least you won't lose horribly to some lousy pub chars.

recast what? i dont have cyclone armor. and to be fair, i only lose to the really good ones, like hauradrim's 1400 hp, high regen trapper im stuck in fhr lock so often with shitty druid fhr that he can regen as fast as i hurt him just about im happy if i can get him below half hp.
think i should get a point in cyclone armor? i'd only have just under 150 absorb, and with 0 resists, it wont save me very much.

I agree with meitou completely.
If a fissure druid has never lost to a charger or bowzon on West, there are no great charger or bowzons on West.
A fissure druid has a small chance to beat a bowzon IF it has similar FRW, but it can never beat a good charger.

Not a chance. 1700 life is... three charges tops? The druid will never match the paladin's regen, and either Hotspurs/Nokozan will eliminate the druid's offense.

1700 life is 2 charges tops and half the time 1 charge.
a fissure druid is probably the best non-cookie-cutter build unless you include psn jav zons, but it can't compete with any well skilled/geared sorc, bowzon, charger, wwbarb, trapper, psn jav zon, CS zon...
The only cookie cutter builds that i am not sure if it does well vs or not are kickers, necs (break says he beats every nec), tornado druid with no recast allowed
cant think of anymore right now!
sure, a godly fissure druid like waramp and breakbeatz can kill pubs, newbs, and the not-as-good lld's of any type or build almost. but when you put a godly fissure druid against a nicely geared character, it just cant win really

It beats trappers every time for me (except that time you told me to run into 5 traps) and it beats blizz sorcs too.
Light sorcs seem possible, but if equal skill, the light sorc has the advantage I think.
