I'm not digging the candidate selection, but I'll probably end up voting for the "lesser of two evils" just so I'd be a little less disappointed. Or I may do a write-in.

This is what happens when you don't take everything on the internet super seriously:
That's right. You're forced to wear nut-hugger shorts and bitchslap men in suits.

See, I'm curious about this. Was there someone you wanted who dropped out? Or are you just jaded to politics in general?
I ask because even though I'm not personally enraptured by Obama, most people will readily agree that he's one of the most appealing candidates in the last half-century. And unless you're a diehard conservative, you can't hate McCain as a candidate. He has a reputation for honesty, and he's less Christ-y than Huckabee and less oily than Romney. Frankly, this year has probably the *best* crop of candidates we've had in an election in my lifetime (which, at this point is 8 presidential election years). I figured I was about as jaded as a political junkie can get, and even I find this year to be very exciting. So when people say "I don't like these candidates", I have to ask: "what exactly are you holding out for?"

The guy I was pulling for dropped out. I've disliked Clinton from the start, so between McCain and Obama, I don't agree with either enough to say I'd give them my vote, but they're certainly not bad candidates either. It's not like having to choose between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich, at least it's better this time.

Who were you pulling for? I didn't think anyone had any really significant differences in their platforms other than Kucinich or Paul.
Giant Douche '08, btw.

Hillary is a horrible candidate for obvious reasons
Obama is inexperienced, has questionable ties with kenya, and has a lousy campaigning platform...
McCain isn't that great
Romney is okay but won't get the nominee
Steven Colbert was the best of them all imo
if I was trying to be "cool" then I'd say
zomfg obama is 73h sux0rz omg omg hillari is a ttl bitch n lik mccain isnt good lolz noobsz!!!!!!!111

Ironically, this is Ralph Nader's exact platform. I think he even has bumper stickers.
[Edit: Ah, totally lame. I made a bumper sticker with an online sticker maker, but my lame-ass work laptop has no way to grab the image, and the site won't let me save it to desktop.]

You need to take a hint, baba. I moved your first post, and this is #2. Take your dumbassery elsewhere.

Yeah, it would have been nice for Obama to finish her off and be done with it, but it looks like they're destined to battle it out a while longer.
In a weird way it's good for the Democrats, because it keeps the media attention on them and not the Republicans, which makes it hard for McCain to keep his campaign newsworthy. And while the Dems will be wasting huge coin fighting each other, the fact remains that they've raised so much more than the Republicans that they can afford to waste a little.
I only have two concerns for the Democrats now:
1. How they resolve the Florida/Michigan problem. The idiots in those states are trying to convince America that the DNC "disenfranchised them" by "denying their vote", when in reality their own friggin' politicians screwed them by breaking DNC rules and moving up their primaries. (It's like being told not to steal a car, then stealing it, then complaining that the police are infringing on your civil rights by arresting you.)
In any event, the DNC is going to need to seat those delegates, and how they work this out is going to have a huge impact not only in the primary, but in the general election.
2. Superdelegates. If the candidate gets selected in contradiction of the popular vote/pledged candidate count, it's going to seriously damage the Democrats' credibility in the general election. My fear is that either Obama or Clinton get the "popular" primary vote, while the other gets more delegates. That split will make them *both* insist they deserve to be the candidate, and it's going to be very unpleasant. Fortunately, I have a feeling Howard Dean is not going to let that problem persist long; unfortunately, Howard Dean is not generally well-known for his savvy political instincts.
Guess we'll see how it shapes up in the next two months or so.

well im not pissed about it, very surprised though. however.....
did you all notice that Limbaugh urges listeners to vote for Clinton, "arguing it helps the Republicans if the Democratic race remains unsettled for weeks to come."
that i was pissed about
also
NBC reports exit polls in Ohio showed 20% of voters said "race is important" in the election, and of that 20% the whites voted 3:1 clinton, that means technically up to 15% (~1/6) of the votes went for Clintons skin color
npr talks about it here no surprise there? many of my hispanic friends tell me all the time they dont like african-americans, and i was unaware of that dynamic...... but this was ohio.. not texas.
and (for what its worth) alot of people even blame the daily show for having a satellite broadcast for her on Monday, giving her a bump last minute over Obama.
now,,, caucuses in texas means its not over just yet,, but then again perhaps this is the reporters "neutrality" red herring, doubtfull but it happens.
