Hi all, i've just made my very first lld and i have to say it's quite fun... i was just wondering how i did and if i could get a few pointers

my char is a lvl 25 smiter (i made this char completly on my own btw didn't look up any strategy and i just found this forum)

can't post exact stats at the moment i'm away from any viable computer with d2

Ladder character
Char name: light-calas
Account name: bitey

skills:
2 holy shield
8 concentration (or 7)
pre req's
rest in smite like 14 or so

items:
Twitch/pruby
Death mask/ 3soc pruby
Bloodfists
crown shield 43% all res/ spirit runeword
Flail/ strength runeword - spirit sword for casting holy shield
Goblin Toe
Death's Sash
Anglelic ammy and ring's (for life and dex)

Life: 952
Mana: i don't remember but over 100 and way enough
Defence: around 500
Block rate: 75% of coarse
Damage: something like 114-162 not real sure (kinda rely on cb)

if you need anymore info let me know and i'll try to figure out (away from d2 for a day or so)

i havn't played in any lld games... i just found this place and i'm hoping to get into it--seems like great fun

There's a pretty informative post called 'following the rules smiter'. If you use the search button (towards the top of the page) you can probably find it.

Also, I think our rules allow Smiters up to 28 Very Happy

yeah i just found out the lvl 28 max... this means i'll have to revamp my gear---ugh

u could always just stay 25 and be a 25 smiter....nothing wrong with that

Ok i now have a more specific question

Blood fists or Deaths gloves/sash.... which is a better decision, not certain but i believe the ias on deaths gets me to the next bp.

you do relize i wasn't really asking for that, i was just wondering what was better... 40 to life or 30% ias (brings me from 10 to 8 fps)---there is also the option of a good pair of blood gloves (easily made)

but thx for the link to the calculator, quite helpful

also i was wondering if strength is a good weapon or if there was better out there... let me know pls

any info is apretiated

sorry for the double post but i'm bored and i'm looking around...

so i was thinking what about a Scimitar with the runeword steel... and the death glove/sash giving me 7fpa but i lose 2 in range---i'll lose some vita and strength from Strength, so i might have to get a new shield... also i'll lose 25% cb but i'll get 50% ow in return (have 25% cb on goblin toe, is that good enough) also with my Strength flail i can get 8fpa

if i make a steel flail it won't give my the 7fpa either i have to use scimitar for the base speed of [-20]---flail is [-10], and that mean's i'd probly stick to stength if usuing a flail (malice isn't an option btw no ias, 100% ow is nice and i could use as a pre atk but not for main)

i think that's as much info as i can give at the moment... i might think of more things later, so c'mon guys now's the time where you give you your years of experience and dueling knowledge to let me know which is the best option... i did most of the research for you already

use a strength cutless instead of flail -10 extra base speed

you might want to upgrade to a monks barbed shield of deflecting available at lvl 27: has best smite dmg on the shield skills good block and the chance to get 2 sokts Twisted Evil

ah good sugestion... now to find a cutlass too bad i'm away from d2 Crying or Very sad

can u get those mod's with pally shields... if so don't those get better dmg?

Once again sweetness on the cutlass lol now i'll pwn (i used to be so slow)

and i lost my death's gloves have to find a new pair.... anyone know where to get a pair Very Happy

if i go 27 is there any items that become available to me that i couldn't use earlier-- i stoped at 25 because that's all i needed for spirit ( didn't feel the need to go higher)

ha, yes yes once again i double post--- oh well

just wanted to say nvm about the pally shield's i looked it up and see that they have a higher lvl req for the one's that get good dmg

alrighty... still need help on the other stuff now oh and where do i go about getting a monk's barbed shield of deflecting---and if it is socketed the really only viable thing to socket it with is res... with the shield i have now psht 75 in all but cold 67 (+2 to skills) but yes dmg is nice

one more thing also i don't think i really need the deflecting... with holy shield and twitch i have 75% as is.... so the only reason to go up would be for the dmg, think it wise choice or not?

and once again i need some experienced duelers'help
