I'm thinking of making a Leap barbarian, used mainly to annoy melee characters with the knockback from it. At level 20 it knockbacks for something like 16.2-16.6 yards and I was wondering if it would be possible to get a good enough rate of leaps to succesfully keep a melee character at bay. This leads me to my next question - Does anyone know if Ias or Fcr, ro what increases Leap speed, or does it work that you can only Leap after the previous Leap was finished. I'm not sure if anyone has tried this, but any insight/suggestions would be nice.

the speed seems consistant.
he never performed the action slower or faster,, but u can perform more leaps if u do small leaps, so just dont leap far
with a range of 16.6 yards , this means u knockback anything within that radius. it will keep almost anything at bay unless they can target u with range.. this includes WW and charge
i have met a few.. they are defienetly 100% def and 100% anoying

i always thought that was how far the barb could jump, not the area that the leap would affect. but im not 100% sure though.

The number that's physically displayed is the distance the barb can jump. The knockback radius isn't displayed, but it is different from the jump range.
The skill levels for knockback go something like this:
Level: KB Radius:
1----------2
2----------3
3/4--------4
5----------5
6/7--------6
8----------7
9/10-------8
11---------9
12/13-----10
14---------11
15/16-----12
17---------13
18/19-----14
20---------15
21/22-----16
23---------17
24/25-----18
ect ect.
The leap distance sharply goes down after about level 7.

lol this sounds like a fun and very cheap build, does leap cause a lot (if any) damage tho?

Leap by itself doesn't. If you mix in leap attack or whirlwind then yes, it can potentially do damage.

Maybe if u had a very geared up merc im guessing a1 and start leaping all over the place and let the merc do the work it could possible work
