Desynching |
|
In hammerdin dueling. I've heard of it before and maybe even possible done it? But what exactly is desynching and how is it done?
I ask this because i pretty much suck at hammer vs hammer dueling

what you do is you charge around with your paladin really fast and off your opponents screen (on auto-map though). It lags their auto-map and shows you in a place where your not. Then you come up to them and hit them with hammers why their shooting off at nothing.
It takes some skill to do...or some luck. Also vigor is optional. I believe it helps you desynch better, but that it is not required to desynch.
Ask someone who is better with an LLD hdin how to do it. I dabbled in it, but never spent any significant amount of time trying to do it.

something you do on your screen may not regester on the other players right away because of the time it take for the packets of information to get from your computer to the bnet servers then to the other palyers computer. if you can move to a different spot on the map really fast before the previous information gets to the other player, you seem to them to be teleporting around, although it will seem like just normal movement to you.
the most easy way is charge around with vigor because that gets you going really fast, then try get close to the other player and switch auras and hit with hammer.
its all about trying to read the other players movements to tell when you are desyncing because generally they will not attack right away or in the correct direction becasue they will not realise where you are etc

Be careful. If you use the F keys you won't desynch as much.

It's true, you won't.
Why you ask?
Because it takes longer time to switch between auras/skills using the f-keys then using keys closer to where your hands rest. Simple logic really.
I'd desynch more often if I used the ZXC keys then the F-keys.

Ok that sorta makes some sense. You basically just charge off thier screen for a while and then come at them but your not registared yet on their screen? Because every time I duel other hammerdins with mine, I get hit with hammers that i cant see.
I use the F keys to switch between skills and have never really tried to configure my keyboard setup. Anyone who plays HDin could give some advice on configuring setup that would be cool. I also play on a laptop so its kind of tough.

you dont even have to charge of screen
on hammers i like to use this set up:
a= tele
s=conc
d= vigor
f= medi
g= clensing ( that white thing that reduces psn length etc)
h-j = holy shield + what ever other things you want
z=hammer (left mouse button)
x= charge (left mouse button)
i like this set up because its close to the shift key so it allows for shift charges to move around quickly and its a ~confortable position to rest the ol' hands

Desynching is really really easy and doesnt take long to get good. I do it all the time on my High level hammerdin. Take long strides with vigor and charge. I set up my hotkeys very easily.
A- Left mouse hammers
S- Concentration
Z- Left mouse Charge
X- Vigor
D- Holy shield
F- Teleport (I use F because my hands reach the F key faster than D).
G- B.C
Q- B.O
Really easy to learn, really really effective. Just take long strides.

numpad1=bo
