I'm looking for a shield to put jewels in for a lvl 18 Zealot etc, and I know the best would be a +65%/12x AR heraldic shield, 4 sox.

How do I go about looking for something like this?

To socket and get 4 sox, it needs an Ilvl of 25+, according to: http://www.diabloii.net/items/sockets-list.shtml

The cows in Normal Cows drop items with an iLvl of 28, so I guess if I find a good shield in normal cows, I can then socket it for 4 sox.

BUT, if I want to get the +%ED mod, will it spawn in normal cows? So confusing. Thanks for you help!

You can get it in norm cows. afaik the automod on the shield isnt dependant on lvl or ilvl.

Actually, I think the paladin automods are dependent on ilvl. I'd just do hell MF runs and keep your eyes open for white pally shields. Unless you're an absolute perfectionist, they're not too uncommon - I found a 58 ed Superior Heraldic tonight doing a few Eldritch runs.

Ah, you stars, thank you. Seems an infinity might be worth getting after all! Bastarding cows.

Will keep you updated on whether I find something or not.

Edit: Worth getting an infinity? Or just using a hammerdin for hell MF runs?

Also keep your eyes open for Aerin Shields - those work just as well, and you'll have the strength to equip it.

I don't think Chaos is the right place to look, honestly(I chaos quite a bit).

Every shield like this I've found has been in hell cows. Wear as little mf as possible.
