I've been thinking of making a sorc for a while, just to try it out. I dunno how much fun I'd have with it, since I like melee's a lot better, but I'll never know till I try. Anyways, I'm wondering how the three types compare in fun factor, as well as effectiveness/dmg etc? The only real experience I have with casters is a 'white' nec, a lvl 33 singer barb, and a lvl 30 wind druid - all of which I almost never use - so I'm completely clueless. Any input would be cool.

blizzard sorcs take less skill, as their attack has a wider range. fireball and lightning/chain sorcs take more skill, like spear using necros, because you have to predict where your opponent will run and cast infront of their run path.

but i honestly beleive blizz sorcs are the funnest, none-the-less.

yea blizz takes less skill, but has lil of precast dedays, thats why most blizz sorces use ice blast when they blizz,u blizz then atack with blast, ite and fire sorce,4 those u need good tele skills.but personally i would say blizz is more fun,but u can enjoy all 3 of those,c if u can get better items 4 any of em

the only reason you should really have to tele is if you're going against a bone prison happy necro or you're caught up with decrep, cold, and a slow golem (summon necros anyone?). stack up on about 5 or 6 run/walk charms with mana and you're good to go. those charms added with sander's should be enough run/walk for you to survive.

60 is fine, and easily achievable as well. if you have that 2 socket circlet you were talking about, pop 2 shaels in it, and a shael in your viper, and there you go. if not, 1 shaeled helm and 1 shaeled viper, with 4 scs.

then again, you could always try the 42 BP with your viper unsocketed. 2 shael circlet +1 sc. if you find its not enough, then shael your viper.

blizz sorc is the easiest to not get hit with, i think once yoy get skilled enough, a fireball sorc will always be stronger. once you can elarn to teleport and aim properly that is. but if you're new to sorc i would definetly stick with blizzard

I thought teleporting was banned.

if you don't tele against 101 members, it doesn't matter.
i used to just have a +tele orb on switch so that i didn't have to spend any skills in it.

Very Happy so did i, I just never used it against members Very Happy But the thing is with pubbies I can own with 3-4 fireballs (or did when my char was still around) but against 101's I could usually get them to half life and then bam I'm dead.
