Alright so i built my 18 mauler a while ago, and he sucks ass. I have like the best possible gear (granted i need to re ggrush because hes not built optimally), yet i get owned by even the crappiest lvl 18s :\

I cant seem to get ANY hits in on them, and i constantly just find myself being stunned or in FHR

I can list my gear or watever, or if anyone wants to duel me to check out the prob that't be sweet lol

8fpa ias
8fbr frame, i can hit 7 if i use pelta which i have on switch
6frame fhr

i use 8x max/ar/life gc's and 2x max/ar/fhr gc's
i use 10x 15's underneath

yeah, its a cute build but hard to pk anything decent. 15 max zealot will be > most of the time =[.

which is stupid, but a reason why i didnt pursue an 18 mauler

Does cold not matter when you're a maul druid? or is nobody using cold against you?

Just wondering so I can improve my mauler :O

Maul is an interruptible attack, which is where your problem comes in, but you should be getting the occasional hit in, especially with all those AR jewels.

I can't think of much of a solution.... maybe a defensive minded approach? My druid hits around 600 defense with the setup he is using now, which makes me think that could be raised to a fairly decent number.

no cold doesn't affect a melee druid, only weapon ias, and slow. i'm fairly sure.

Cold slows your attack speed. I think a defensive build would do much better, so perhaps you could get a few hits in. Don't give up on it though--It's sure to work with enough effort and thought.

You have greater range than an 18 zealot [who uses either clegs or a scepter] so maybe try shift attacking and hope to score a hit as they close the gap?

I know how you feel, a friend of mine made 1 a while ago and even though it had nice gear, it still got destroyed.
