ok my FoHer paladin was a total failure :-\ so im going to try my luck at a bone necro. ive never made a lld bone necro so im going to need stat spread, skill spread, and equipment. heres what i have so far.

34 resist p gem vipermagi
magefist
2x sojs
spirit (temperamental but need wand suggestions)
cowking boots?

what i think i need:
some sort of nice necro shield?
2 psn bone ammy w/ 10 fcr
2 psn bone circlet w/ 20 fcr

whats the fcr i will want to aim for on this char? what skill would i use (bone spirit or spear)? do i put a point in prison to stop running?

alright thanks in advance for ANY advice given.

edit: ok; so if i get a +3 spear/spirit with 20s i could make a rhyme in it?

Possible Skill Layout:

+1 Teeth
+1 Prereq.
+13 Bone Spear
+1 Bone Spirit
+1 Bone Armor
+19 Bone Wall
+5 Bone Prison

=41 Skill points if your hell rushing.
If u want u can max bone prison, and then put rest into bone wall.

U should use Sanders boots instead of cow kings because necros need the FRW.

your ideal wand would be a +2 pnb/20%FCR/+3 Bone Spirit/Spear wand.

I think 75% FCR would be your ideal BP because the next BP requires 125%FCR.

The usual bone necro shield would a +3 Bone Spirit or Spear shield made into Rhyme runeword.

Spirit is good for necros for the mana (you run out fast) as well as the mass fhr. And its also relatively easy to get 125 fcr with it. As for decrep, i have an ume's lament on switch (2 nec, 20 fcr +decrep) on switch for when i feel the need to be BM Twisted Evil

Ull want to use P skulls. Also use a P crown unless u find a not good circ. spirit is proly best wep as well as rhyme shield. U might want to find a + highest bonearmor Shield and wand for prebuff. use sanders boots, etc.

If you are looking to make a high end necro, the basic ideal gear that I recommend looks something like this:

+2 PnB, 20 FCR, 30 FRW circlet (high FRW is essential to a competitive necro)
+2 PnB, 10 FCR, Rep Life/Cold Resist/Mana/Life Ammy
+2 PnB, 3 Bone Spirit (5 Rep life/15 Resist All) Shield
+2 PnB, 20 FCR, 3 Bone Spirit Wand (Spirit is pretty useful when needing FHR or mana)
Vmagi
24 FHR, 60 Life, 5 Rep Life, Cold Resist Belt
SoJs
Bloodfists or Frostburns, depending on whether you need more life/FHR or mana
Sander's boots, nice rare 30 FRW/FHR/resist boots, or 20 FRW/10 rep life boots all work nicely
Enough FRW charms to get 100+ FRW (ideally 120+, necro experts have told me)

I prefer maxing Bone Wall and Prison before spear, as I use wall a lot against most characters, and they both also synergize Bone Armor as well, so it helps in three ways against duels with, say, bowzons, kickers, or chargers.

And yeah, in NvN and NvH duels, you'll be thriving on rep life, so I suggest you get a pcrown and plug a few pskulls into your gear.

Knarls little guide there is pretty much the be-all and end-all of standard budget necros.

He doesnt say get max block though, which i think is very important.

+3 spear rhyme demonhead(best block nec head)
2x soj
sanders boots(40frw)
10fcr/24fhr belt
magefist

Switch: insight cedar staff

charms:

37x 15life sc(all are modded with either res def or mana)
1 20life/43 mana GC

i only hit the 86% bp... but there isnt much difference between the 86 and the highest one.. 125 i think... so i didnt see any use in it

It's useful vs higher level characters, but in LLD duels, it's not very necessary, I've found.

ok.... still a couple questions. bone spirit or bone spear shield? i was thinking to go with spirit. also... 86 or 125 bp for fcr? i think im going to use magefist in pub games and bloodfist if i enter a tourney... also bone wall or bone prison? finally... what damage should i be aiming for with spirit AND spear?
