well obviously you could kill them pretty easily with some builds but then it wouldn't be fun
it doesn't have to be a level 9 though, you could really do this with any character that doesn't tele or charge... just have the objective of each team to be to kill the specified target on the other side

what you could do (should this game type be made) is make a seperate section for it and people could organize games for this. maybe a 3v3 game with each two people having a level 9... and from there it is strategy of either attacking or defending. obviously, people would have to use builds that dont charge or telly. this type of game should DEFINATELY be put in. maybe ban chargedins, trapsins, telly, and dragon flight? am i forgetting anything?

you don't have to ban anything, just make level 30s the targets and have the targets be chars that can't tele or charge

holyshock din/ cold sorc with orb will kill the lvl 9 fast and easy, i think we should make that, the lvl 9 just run around and two teams fight normally, but who ever kills the lvl 9 loses

as i read through these threads an idea popped in my mind..
it says O_o: Capture teh flague!!!!!
1 ear is in coldplains
1 ear is at the town gate
1 team is at town
1 team is at cp wp
the teams run at eachother (fights MAY EMERGE!)
the team to get the opponents ear back to their side wins!

ive been reading what you all have said and alot of you have good sugesstions. Now, about auradins and tele sorcs and chargers that would pwn the lvl 9, thats true thats why there would have to be rules, and maybe 2 types of the game:
vlld version: lvl9-18 (or wutever vlld lvlcap is), hunted char is lvl 9
and...
lld version: lvl 18or19-30, hunter char is lvl 12-18
Rules:
-No teleport
-No charge
-No instant hit spells (mindblast, psyhic hammer, telekinis, etc....)
-Only ONE auradin per team, but no Holy Frost the slow would be too much of an advantage. (depending how high aura dmg can get...)
-No Ice orb because the large AOE (area of effect) would be unfair, i think
And ofcourse..all other tornament rules apply
I cant think of anymore rules right now, so yall post any i missed
Ill help anyone who decides to get this started...seeing as it was my idea, but im not the one to organize it all someone else will have to, ill just help them.

ive done capture the flag before
we did it with a pot (red and blue) everyone fills thier first belt row of pots and makes sure their ive is filled so when you die the pot drops out
home for one team is town (so when the other team dies the dead stay in town until someone is able to reach town to let them out where they get a free pass to thier bod and back to thier own home area)
the other teams home is the bridge/pass to cold plains which is where the first teams dead stay until they are released and get a free pass to bod and back home
so the skill limits are, not charge for movement or telie and no slowing curses

All it would take is a fissure druid or a blizz sorc to ruin the level 9 idea.
However, a team consisting of a pure oaksage summon druid + a vigor paladin + a holy bolt cleric with resist auras would actually succeed pretty well every time, I think.

hmm... that cleric idea seems pretty cool. this should be made into a real game with tournaments if we can just get all these ideas together. new char builds!!!

yah a tournment of this would be fun, and if running to the coldplains wp is to easy for the healer team, we could make it a run to andy LOL, or a run from haggorath to frigid wp, that would be awesome, beacause ud have to fight harder creatures too.

I think it would be a fun game with a little modification.
No lvl 9, all lvl 30 LLD, each team has one key character. The rule would be like any regular team duel, except that once the team's key character dies, that team loses automatically.
So around that, there can be a lot of strategy.

if you want to go with the capture the flag type of deal, lvl 18 chars, with a lvl 30 flag, who cannot attack.

what if a nec bonewalls his lvl 9 into the corner every minute or so
