Im currently collecting gear for a lvl 9 bash barb...

what i have:

-2Os +3 axe mastery helm (looking for +bash/+axe mastery)
-6Os 15ed mili pick
-4Os 15ed Ancient armor
-vbsod
-death belt/gloves
-10fhr/3dex boots (looking for 10/3/15ar)
-half decent rings and ammy
-inventory full of 15life LCs, some with ar (lloking for more with ar), and 1 12fhr/33ar GC

as far as my jewels go i have some nice -15 req/max dmg jewels for the armor, 2-3 12maxers, some 9/xxARs, etc....

Questions:

1. Any better gear recommendations? Are there better options for the gear i have listed?

2. Skill Distribution??

3. Duel strategies??

NB: this will be my first LLD char...so pardon the nubishness...

that looks like the setup most vlld brbs would use, youve done your research.

duelign with lvl 9's is basically walking and clicking not v hard. when dueling a lvl 9 ts asn you could walk away when her charges are full to waste them but thats looked down upon.

all you can do is get better jewel/charms and your doing nicely, and im guessing you meant 10& fhr on your boots Wink

yes...i did mean fhr...edited.

and you said walk away....do vllders walk instead of run so that they have full defense?

yes when dueling you ALWAYS want to walk. You might want a +shout helm for prebuff.

walking isnt for the defence, but so you have 75% block all the time. running reduces your blocking by 2/3, which is bad Wink

1howl, 1 shout

but if u want 2 into leap for giggles then you could just rely on the +shout helm?

I would suggest using Sigons gloves, boots, and belt.

Get half freeze duration on a ring and you will be fine.

This way you have higher defense, higher damage, higher AR, and you can use an ancient armor with only -30 req.

or you could just keep a death belt in stash for when u need cbf

Thats a lot of str to have to invest in
