spirit ruined LLD, anyone agree?

I'd say it didn't. Just gave poorer lld's a chance at a viable caster with all cheap gear. Before Spirit you'd use a orb on a sorc, which usually cost you alot.

I agree with OSA. Now if I want to test out my casters on Hardcore I can do so without using some difficult to find rare.

Anything that narrows the gap between the rich and the poor is going to hurt LLD. IMO Spirit and Peace both hurt LLD quite a bit.

Because building characters and getting godly gear is as much a part of the game as dueling skill is. There should be an incentive to go out searching for that godly perfect lld item.

Not a big deal. Spirit and peace are only good for some chars, and for those chars, they are not the best solution for all duels.

There still is incentive to go get those perfect items.Spirit allows you to have nice starting chars that can duel without losing so much its no fun.I think if people are upset because they can no longer own whole games and be called a hacker,well things like that dont last forever.Its actually easier for LLDers to band together and get hi levels to leave games.

i just find that hammerdins have come over powered using two spirits, i mean the stats from one is good enough, and it's come to be almost impossible for an LLD caster to defeat a good lvl 30 hammerdin with 2 spirits, also when i started my lld there was no spirit to use, i had to build up gear over time, and now for an soj you can get a weapon that is 100x better than what i started out with so i find it to be a little 'overpowered' and cheap, in the sence that it's too good, and easy to obtain

On the whole, those starting out think that it's fair whereas those who have been at the game for awhile consider it to be unfair.

depends on how u look at it on being unfair and fair. as B[x] said also but to be honest i dont really care i just like to duel just gives u more of a challenge

spirit did run some godly potential legit scepters and shields for pallies (leandro has a legit +2 pal/10% fcr/3 conc/2 bhammer iirc), (and i had on a old mule a +1 pal/deflecting/2 sock crown shield that is now worthless)

yes, not only did it lower prices of things that are actualy nice, it is like a greif for a smiter, i come to see more fbers and hdins with spirits every day, not that i don't like the lld community growing, that part is great, but they should earn what they use, i don't know if anyone else see's it the way i do, but getting the gear for your lld is the fun part, seeing godly orbs, sheilds, and scepters are all things i 'enjoyed' doing now all it is, is spirit. i don't know i always saw LLD is a non-cookie cutter way of dueling, and now that is no more shame on you blizzard shame on you Sad
