Doom one of the best FPS ever...
Goldeneye is definetly the best FPS shooter made though.
Halo one great game, I hated the pistol however... Halo 2 is a mediocre FPS... only reason I still play it is because of Live.

F.E.A.R, played at a friend's house, it was so creepy when you turn and the little white girl staring at you... creepy, nice game tho

Oh fun thread, here i will post reasons why i chose those games
N64: Goldeneye
- odd job, 'nuff said
PS2: Time Splitters Future Perfect
- funny phrases in story, (e.g. at the end "I only wanted to be loved")
- monkeys
Xbox: Halo 2?
- one of the only shooters I played on xbox, I have PS2
Gamecube: Never played any.
Arcade: Time Crisis 3/Virtua Cop 4
PC: Tactical Ops
note: Probably most of you haven't heard of this game... how can i describe it, CS is to Half-Life as Tactical Ops is to Unreal Tournament
- it's a fun, arcadey style game
- it's not cs
- my favourite shooter of them all
Other honourable mentions:
FEAR (PC)
Call of Duty (PC)
Call of Duty: United Offensive (PC)
Call of Duty 2 (PC)
and of course, Doom (PC)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2) (some FPS elements -_-)
I'm not much of a console person, feels weird without keyboard and mouse

I gots it, the ending is the best, and really fudged up.
