What kind of damage is Blessed Hammer? It doesn't seem to be effected by immune to physical or immune to magic monsters so what is it? It can't just be damage can it? And what can I use to sorb or reduce it?

It's magic damage. However, in PvM the only monster thats immune to hammers are Wailing Beasts in Act 3

the only things that i can think of that reduce it are magic damage reduce items and crafting a ?safty kite shield? i havent been on in a while but i think thats it. also necro bone skills do the same kind of damage as hammers.

the reason it can kill *most* magic immunes is because the skill also does extra damage to undead/demons. so the extra dmg to undead and demons negates their magic immunity
