I have a 5 soc war scepter with +1 con and +3 hammers. I'm guessing this would be a better on a lvl 18 than a lvl 29. I would need a divine scepter to do any damage at 29 right?

i dunno but that looks like a pretty kick ass hammerdin scept, even a good honor out of that would do fine until you got spirit

hammerdins need FCR, therefore an 'honor' +hammer scepter is a horrible choice.

Honor is a fine choice for a hammerdin scepter.
As long as you're hitting 75 fcr, everything is fine. You might have to give up that oh so wonderful Peasant Crown though =(

10% amulet, 30% viper, 20% mages. youd need a 20% circlet, and not many people have that...or at the very least it isnt easy to come by.

What about a hybrid?
Charger/hammers
I've seen these in hld before. My friend made one acutly. He used a scourge hoto and had around 8k charge I think, with 7-8k hammers. Mabye the build would work in lld? It's worht a try.

What you can do is just have a nice like honor on switch. In HLD my friend used to just use a nice EBOTD zerker, with a good shield for charging. It works nice, when u wanna charge and switch.

Although That Stragety Probubly Wont Work In LLd Since Hammerdins arent graced with much good dmged 1h Weapons Unless your on ladder in that case insight is always a good option

yea but insight is only on polearms isnt it? which is always two handed
anyway, how did this convo get to hammerdins and chargers lol
as for your scepter, i think it might be pretty nice on a lvl 18 pally if u cant get a scepter that has more to conc, but the hammer mod is pretty much useless unless u wanna be goofy in pubby games 
a hammerdin/charger would be hard hard hell to make but it would be fun if it worked

those are a lot easier to come by than a +1 all or 2 combat, +3 hammers scepter with 20 fcr  , so it would be much easier for him to just use the honor with those other items while he waits for spirits and can hit the 125 bp, than it would be for him to go out and get a scepter with the same amount of + skills and 20 fcr... or he could just use shard but whats the point of that because he would be stinky

Good idea exceot the fact that ull do like 1.5k charge - ull be using FCR obvisouly.
If not then your hammers are gonna be weak - thus u need FCR gear.
1.5k charge = even a sorc(not a good one) can take 3 hits.
My suggestion. Honor it and then use it on a zealer. Once the person your dueling has low life - u can Smite - or use that scepter to hammer out the last few bits of life.

well charger/hammerdin could work if you had a good wep on switch and could switch back and forth back enough. I know someone on ladder that has a hammerdin///charger and does well.
