How come everybody says to get all ED jewels for your shield as an 18 zealer rather than max dmg?

No one who knows what they're doing says to get ed jewels for a shield for an 18 zealer.

Where did you hear this?

lol, who would possibly tell you that. ED jewels in a shield would just completely ruin it and make it useless on a zealer :S

If yes to the first - then which would be better, either 20ed or 16ed/9max.

There are only a few builds that would want ED% jewels over Max dmg jewels. But Zeal is deffinately not one of them.

Erm, don't use that that Ed%/max Jewel in anything other than a weapon (presumably a lvl 9 wep) due to the Ed/Max bug wich is explained on here.

maybe a full collection of 10/xx/life gc's and 3/xx/life sc's then maybe a 20%ed jewel in a twitch would help more then a +15 in that 1 case

it depends how much ed% and +dmg the build already has.

more ed% each +1dmg is pumped.
the more +dmg on you the more a 1% will add.
its just like a synergy,

but usually the zealot has a ton of ed% from stats/aura/zeal/sac/shield.. so i doubt that happens

and if that is 16%+9 lvl jewel a vlld can use, please dont use it on something other then a vlld 9 weapon.
