Wow, we seem to have lost a few Lvl 9 stalwarts or have quite a few that can't show. I may have to seriously abbreviate this tournament if we don't get some more sign-ups. Right now everyone would make the final so there is not much point in having the qualifying rounds at all. If you are interested in getting in this I need to hear from you.

If I had a level 9, I'd try this...but meh, by the time I convince someone to give me a hell rush and I sit down to actually do this, WoW will probably be out.

No one would like a throw barb in the tourney anyway, and most likely I'd make one.

I do remember doing this format back in the days of VLLD (Pawnage was the host of it back then) and I won that with a level 14 bow/throw hybrid zon. Of course that was also back when leech worked in PvP and throwing didn't suck, but anyway...

By the way, on an off-topic note for throwing fans: Blizz doesn't like throwing in WoW either. 3/4ths of the hunter skills will not work with throwing. Let's hear it for blizz continuing to hate it up on throwing. Rolling Eyes

Date is Sunday Nov 28TH. Time 7:30 EST

Open to all Level 9 Duelers. No entry fee. Prizes will be awarded along with bragging rights for top finishers.

Qualifying format will be Round Robin. Everyone will duel everyone else. Top 8 Records will advance to finals. Ties will be broken by one on one Sudden Death Matches.

FINAL RULES:

-No Potting of any kind. (participants may be required to show their belts in the trade window just prior to a match)
-No using shrines of any sort.
-No killing monsters for life or mana steal or any other reason.
-No returning to town before duel has ended. Doing so will cause forfeit.
-No spectating by non participants.
-Equipment may be adjusted between duels if done so in 20 seconds or less
-No Pets or Mercs allowed for this tournament
-No use of "Slow" in any forum whether from items or secondary source
-All duelers will line up on field of battle to wait turn to duel. NO interfereing in match and No casting unless you are dueling.

There will be two games going on at the same time in the initial rounds. The field will be split equally betwwen the two games. Everyone will get to duel everyone else one time in the initial rounds. Top 8 records go into the finals. Ties will be broken by head to head one on one duels. The participants will be assinged to the round robin brackets after sign up closes on Wednesday. TODAY AND TOMORROW ARE THE LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP!!!!.

The rest of you guys that have not done so yet need to declare your duelers name and class by tomorrow night to verify your entry. Only fair that if you are going to bring something "unique" that others have a chance to prepare for it.

i'll either be using my sacadin, Bx-MiniAxis (7 gold to the person who gets the "Axis" reference) or my jab zon, Bx-Jabediah. if i can get some good spears and a classic rush, i'll probably use Jabediah. however, i won't have access to d2 from about wednesday evening till sunday night so it looks like i'll be using Axis.
