Well, I would say a Lv 30 Kicksin to start with, mainly because they can operate on -very- poor equipment so they are a good build to break you into LLDing, and without as many complants as a Trapper, everyone hates them.

Just make sure you get nice boots, Any Teir 2 boots are a good start, kickers own most pubbies, save for smiters.

Anyone else have any input?

30 hammerdins are really easy to start up, atleast the basic set up is.

Choose a character thats not expensive and not too hard to make and choose something that wil be effective. Hammerdins arnt that hard to start up and are one of the best llds(I personally dont like them but other peoples opinions are better than mine)


I started out with a ww barb and i love using them Cool

I would just choose any class that you have the must fun playing and then choose a build from there. The whole point in the end is to have fun Smile

I voted necro. Cheap, standard gear can make him very good and unresistable, homing damage. Plus the use of bonewalls and prisons too are invaluable.

Melee chars are a bit more difficult to build and find gear for, but for a start i guess a concbarb would be a good choice.

i think for a starter that having the option to bm is a good thing. dont do it first but if necessary you have it available.

they are really easy to make.
since u are just starting, just go with the insight build and use alot of 15life sc's
or str/dex charms.

In lld these days, there are no "good' chars, and no "bad" chars. Every type of char has a weekness. There isn't 1 char that is easiest to make, every char is hard to make if you want them to be good.


What I think is the funnest char are bowasons. They are very rare in nl but i find that bowasons would cost the most to be good.

I'm currently make a bowason now

In total, I think you should build a char you find fun, or a char that you have the right gear for.

actually there are about 5 that i can think of off the top of my head that are pretty damn not good on nl.

i go for hammerdins are easy starters but get expensive.

Nt, I had a full 3/xx/11-15 insight barb on NL and it blew like a saxophone. Nothing is easy about making a good ww barb, casters are where you start.

Most of there gear is easy to get, especially if its hammerdin on lad. 2 x Spirits and your halfway there. A low budget hammerdin that can actually duel with a hammerdin is the best start. (and not this pansy run all game and rep life thinkin your not good)
