Yeah, I am trying to spoon feed here, because people (including myself) usually just waste the imbue quests. Pity.

And, imbue ethereal items only. Don't "try" to be a smartass and do "something new". For instance, only idiots would imbue sorc orb/druid pelt and hope for merely a rare.

Best imbue character lvl

For lvl 9
throwing spear-------- 8

For lvl 18
war javaline---------- 36
throwing spear -------35

For lvl 30
harpoon-------------- 55
ornate armor-------- 64-65
grim helm------------61-70
grim shield-----------60

If your char is over these lvls, imbue Sorc Orbs. Because a higher lvl char will have better chance to get 3 +3 skills on classic specific items.

They are the only items worth imbuing. They all only need 2 mods to be good (ed% and self repair), 3+ mods would be really cool. Even with 1 mod only (ed%), they can be a temparary and last a while. The only exception here is the grim shield which need 3 mods to be good (ed%, deflecting, self repair).

Other items, such as lvl 18 ancient armor, lvl 9 blade talon, lvl 30 grim scythe, cutlass, naga, all need at least 3-4 mods to be good, which is close to impossible for imbue. And there are alternatives easily to be obtained (4s 500+ def ancient with 60max, 3s talon with 3 14max jewels, etc.)

this confuses me a little. why the discrepancy in clvl for tspear and war javs? why would 30 be more ideal for level 18 tspears than 31 when 31 is best for level 18 war javs? wouldn't the same mods be available for either weapon at either clvl? especially since they're in the exact same weapon class, just different qualities. are the mods available to exceptional items that aren't available to normal items?

i'm just kinda confused on how there could be a level discrepancy for items as similar as these.

dang all those harpoons wasted imbueing on a lvl 30 XD never really looked into the imbue lvls

ok so I am imbunein tspears for my levl 9.... imbuning them with a levl 8 will not get any ed/ar/damage mods? or what... little confused.... should I imbune with a levl 8 or with a levl 18.... I mean if I do it with levl 8 char I can still get the damage mods and repair?
