J2ME to be more specific. (MIDP 2.0)

I'm looking for some decent forumer-suggested tutorials, books, online classes, etc. I've found a few but I'm seriously looking for some "J2ME for Dummies"-type material. I'm fed up with the complete CRAP games for my sony 600i and I think I'm going to resort to making my own.

Any insight?

I looked at that one book initially, but it seems more oriented towards MIDP-1 which is the "old version" of j2me. The Sony 600i that I just purchases uses MIDP-1 AND MIDP-2 which is the "new version" of j2me. Obviously there are more MIDP-1 capable devices out there since it has been around a lot longer. Does he think the fundamentals are still similar? What are the BIG differences between the two?

I also looked at this book which has pretty good feedback afaik. I'd love a "review" on it from him if he's had experience with it:

I'm in N.C., but I'll keep that offer in mind if I make my way up to the North Country any time soon. Wink

he says it's a pretty good book, but don't spend your money on it. When ever you get your ass up here, he said he has about 10-15 books for you to borrow or purchase a small price Razz
