i heard this is the best way to *thoroughly* clean your keyboard. Someone spilt lemonade all over mine and now all the keys and sticky and gunky.

^ thats my keyboard.

Is there any special process i need to adhere to?? Do i leave the keys on the keyboard or take them off? If i take them off, can i put them in the dishwasher too?

Why not just put it in water and let it sit a bit?

somehow i seriously doubt that you can put a keyboard through a dishwasher and expect it to come out working again.

one time i just spilled a little water on the keys and it stopped working. so unless logitech keyboards happen to be waterproof, all your gunna do is break the thing.

Keyboards can be completely submerged and still work afterwards IF AND ONLY IF you allow them to COMPLETELY dry afterwards (i.e. put it in a dry spot for 2-3 days) before plugging it back in. I would suggest that your dishwasher NOT be set to "heated" dry or "high heated" wash/rinse.

Maybe put it outside during a sunny dry day to "air dry" it.

The only thing I might be concerned about is the abrasiveness of the dishwasher detergent. IF I were to do it, I'd use something liquid, and only a minimal amount.

good luck!

filled my tub with hot water and dish soap

removed all the keys and dumped it all in and left them in for a day

took em out left out to dry for like 3 or 4 days put back together and plugged it in, it worked and it was no longer sticky

When I had to clean my old Packard Bell 5130, I took off all the keys, removed the case, set the circut and little plastic things aside and used a high-pressure hose to get as much off as possible and then went in with a some powerfull cleaners, the keys I let soak in Ajax'd water for about 2 days.

dishwasher you say ^_-
