Apologies if this is well known already.

Okay, so I was dueling some guy's barb and while I'm standing around waiting for a "go" I start taking damage. Now, I figure it must be lag or something. The barb has the leech swirlies going but has no attacking animation and I see nothing happening. He had no weapon in his hand, but I figured its because of the strength bug. However, I was under the impression that even with the strength bug, you would still see an attack animation and the javs, akin to the zons that seem to be punching out guideds.

So, if anyone else wants to test this, I believe if you strength bug throwing weapons on a barb (should work on any character I guess) and throw the weapon without using a skill that adds a graphic to the projectile (LF, guided, LB, etc) then you will be able to throw invisible projectiles and your opponent won't even know when you are attacking. The barb I saw literrally didn't move at all, just stood in place while rotating a bit to face me. He only showed motion when walking, no attack animation at all and no javs where seen flying through the air thus dodging them was somewhat difficulty.

i believe with the str bug, you see the attack motion when you are either attacking with a bow or one hand throwing. with the str bug and double throwing, you see no motions taking place other than the character rotating to face you.

I dueled a throw barb awhile ago who used the str bug. Whenever he threw his javas they would come at me invisible, and he would also be invisible during the throw animation. I knew he was throwing them because i got it a few times.

Yeah, I know someone with a throw barb and they're strength bugged. They dont' show ANY animation, not the javelin, not even throwing motion. It looks like he's just standing there, mocking me while I take phantom damage. It's kinda cool, but extremely annoying at the same time.

its when you use charms with +str to use your items. items that require the strength given by those charms, wont show up. often your weapon wont show, or your armor or shield. sometimes youll be completely naked. this will only affect how others view you, as you will see yourself completely outfitted.

Only charms. Even if you use charms to equip...let's say greaves...and the greaves have +str, and you equip your weapon which takes more str, and you use str from greaves to use the weapon, it'll still do the STR bug.
