i got a question what do u recomend using fissure or firestorm??

i was thinkin about makin a fire ele druid the other day...
firestorm - 12
bolder - 1
fissure - 19
oak - 1

Just cast fissure and hit em with firestorm. I haven tried it out yet so i dont know how well it will work, but the dmg seems decent. I am assuming you cant cast firestorm/fissure in wolf/bear form, but if you could the life boost could help alot. I would like to know if anyone else has tried this, cuz i might test it out tonight.

I've never made a fire elemental druid before, but I would probably do the following:

10 firestorm
1 boulder
19 fissure
1 volcano
1 armageddon
1 oak sage

Fissure and armageddon would be your most commonly casted skills, whereas firestorm is probably better for close range. Armageddon gets over 500 dmg, fissure gets over 800 dmg, and firestorm gets around 600 dmg.

Or, you could do the following:

20 firestorm
7 volcano
1 armageddon
3 fissure
1 sage
1 prereqs

That would give over 700-1000 armageddon dmg, crappy volcano dmg, around 400 fissure dmg, and nearly 500 firestorm dmg.

I think the first one is better balanced overall, since arma requires your enemy to walk through it, so against most casters you would have to chase them, which kinda sucks.

i finished my druid, and he does pretty well in pubs. I havent faced a good lld yet so i dont know how god the build realy is.

firestorm - 12
bolder - 1
fissure - 19
oak - 1

i also got a +3 fissure +1 arma from meitou so i can uses arma, and a +1 cyclone armor helm to switch for precast.

even though arma is hard to hit I still think it is worth the 2 points.

[edit] FISSURE - lvl 28 - dmg: 871-910
arma - lvl 7 - dmg: 324-482

770 life (mostly 13-14 life sc)
with oak its 1117

the biggest problem is the cool down time after casting arma (like 6 sec) and fissure. I thought that i could use firestorm and fissure at the same time like blizz/ice blast, but that doesnt work.

i thinkt hat fissure druids are really good and fun, i would just do 1 into oak, max fissure, and put the rest into firestorm, i think that is what dely's druid did and he has 1425 fissure 1400 firestorm

If those numbers are right then that char has to be hell rushed.

When 80% of the lld's I meet hell rush, I don't really see another option, for off the wall builds anyways. A fissure/firestorm druid is hard enough to use vs good lld's while hell rushed, I can't see it being too viable without hell rush, even more because like I said, most of the lld mainstream builds I meet are hellrush anyways, all but a few.
