Okay, i am 100% sure that no one hassuggested this, or even thought about it at lvl 30, but i made a search just to be safe.

For the hell of it, i was thinking of making a level 30 trap/kick assa.
What brought this up was a neato HS my friend showed and gave to me. So i made it into a strength runeword, (base skills had +3 dflight/+1 venom) and right now its looking pretty nice for a kicker, with the CB and everything, so, after i made it, i was thinking, with Dflight and its prerequesites, AND venom taken care of, maybe i can spend ~ 10 pts into traps for some extra edge.

The gear might be as follows:
3 Dtalon/1 venom "Strength" Handscythe. (25% CB)
+2 traps 2os AR jeweled (or shaeled) Btalons
Twitchthroe Studded leather armor
Angelic ring
Angelic ring
Angelic ammy
Rare FRW/fhr war boots
Bloodfist heavy gloves
OW% belt
2 MA/AR circ

Skills: (Would have to be hellrushed)
41 skills(this is whyere i could use the most help)
Im completely baffled
Im thinking about
8 pts into Dtalon
1 pt into claw mastery
4 pts into bos
5 pts into wpn block
1 pt into fade
1 pt into venom
1 pt into fireblast
20 pts into WoF

Stats:
Generic
Str/Dex for gear
rest vit


Now i come upon the problems
The mana problem.
With no items geared toward mana, and 20 pts sunk into WoF, i might only be able to lay down about 7 traps before im completely sunk

The Skill problem:
What is the best balance of BoS and Dtalon to shoot for?
Also, Should i spend the extra skill points to put one into venom?
Can i afford to spend the extra skill points into Dflight or would that break my whole trap setup?

Help would be very appreciated.

not a terrible idea, but i can already foresee a failed build, weak traps+weak kicks = not good.

but if you want to go through with it, your venom will do almost nothing with out huge plus to skills. WOF in itself is a weak skill (but + mindblast =good for stun), mabe do just one point in WOF and get mind blast or just get LS instead for its higher dmg.
mana will be a huge problem for you but u can just use a few mana gcs to take care of it.
gloves could still be +2 ma/10 ias and you might want to focus on getting more + to skills to get more kicks/trap dmg.

Crushing blow only works off your main claw, and +ar only works on your main claw, but does NOT apply to kicks. As far as I know, off-hand ias does not work for traps, but I could be mistaken on this.

Remember that every sixth level in Dragon Talon grants another kick (6, 12, 18, etc). Without a lot of +skill gear, I suggest getting it to slvl12 for 3 kicks.

A dragon flight/trap build may be more viable..

With lvl 4 or so Dflight(+skills) on my lvl30 pure kicker i can deal ok so-so damage and never get hit by using an in and out strategy.. combine that with traps and you could have a quite effective build.. constant damage from traps + big hits on Dflight and nothing could run away..

This build would slay zons and some sorcys if they arnt too good.

Its very viable just have to work out the screws..
