I'm thinking of making a Vengeance Paladin. This is what I've come up with so far I'm taking suggestions because like the saying goes " Two heads, are better than one" I like to make the more uncommon builds so i thought of a lvl 30 venger would be uncommon. So lets make this work Smile

level 30

Skills:
Smite:1 (kinda can be helpful to some pvpers)
Vengeance: 10
Holy Shield: 1( good for the increased blocking gives more stats to vita)
Salvation: 1
Resist Fire: 7
Resist Cold: 7
Resist Lightning: 9 (reason for 9 is because weapon gives more light dmg)
Pre Req. Skills: 5

Attribute:
waiting until I'm lvl 30 to get as low as i can in str/dex and rest will probably go into vitality

Gear:
Helm: Skill Circlet w/ Life mods (EDIT:thanks to Torrent)
Armour: Spirit Shroud(its either this or a smoke mage plate)
Weapon: +3 Conv. Holy Thunder( Divine Scepter)
Shield: I'm using a 70all res 124def rhyme(Akaran Targe)planning on AR/ED Akaran Rondache spirit(EDIT: thanks to Puddles)
Gloves: IK Gloves ( 25%ias, str/dex bonuses)
Belt: Ik Belt (str bonuses with good def)
Boots: GoblinToes (EDIT:thanks to Torrent)
x2 ring: Angelic Rings (740 AR bocl)
Amulet: Angelic Amulet( 75life)
(planning on putting max ed w/ 15ias jewels in the helm and armor, not quite sure wat max ed is for lvl 30 though)

Inventory:
x20 Small Charm: +15 Life (Possibly Fhr, Max, and or AR)
x5 Large Charm: +5 strength (Possibly AR)
x5 Large Charm: +5 dexterity (Possibly AR)

(P.S first saw crescent moon and was like DANG thats really good for my build got so caught up with the profits for a venger didn't realize there was an um in it)

i cant see this being too good at lvl 30 but it might be better off at lvl 18 just cuz of all the res at 30

Conviction is the only thing that might be able to save it, and that's only at 30.

Either way, it's very weak.

also 15 ias speed jewels are lvl 31 req

I'm not bashing, it's just the truth. I'd love to see you make it work, but frankly I don't know how you could. Prove me wrong.

If you want suggestions ... your gear is messed up. You absolutely should not be using Sigons at level 30 ... Goblin Toes would be more appropriate for another source of damage, with a good skills/life circlet or something. Also, instead of Holy Thunder, you could use a Spirit long sword for more skills.

I disagree with most of your set-up. Like Torrent said, using Sigon's is a waste on a level 30 that would need +skills for more damage. Use Peasant's for the +1 skill, Sander's boots for the AR and stat bonus, a Honor 3 Vengeance Divine or War Scepter, Death's (should probably use something else other than Death's because you already get the CBF from Spirit Shroud, but it's waste of stats for IK set in my opinion), and a AR/ED Spirit shield instead of one with resists if you can.

You definitely should be using Conviction for the -resists. I have no clue for rest of your skills though.

Don't expect to be killing every level 30 that you see; nice pub killer though. Hope this helps Smile

Honor is pretty much worthless unless you come across a foher or something with higher conviction. Should have a +5 scepter in stash for that anyway. Spirit has elemental damage and more all around +skills.

see, thats much better =) now i see some improvements i should make, ill take your gtoes and the skill circ idea, however i still wanna use a holy thunder, i cant use a spirit longsword because i didn't put base point into conviction, and i need the scepter with conviction on, if i get another +3 conviction divine scepter ill make an honor with it to compare the difference, and an ed/ar shield would be a better choice, also im a noob to paladins wats max ed i can have on akaran rondache

My suggested gear:

Weapon: Honor Knout (Good range, speed, ar), 5 sock 3 vengeance 3 conv 3 shael/2 eth divi or war scepter. I suppose you could try holy thunder out, not sure about how good it would be.
Helm: +2pcomb/vis/other mods, +1 pal/vis/other mods, or just a pcrown would work
Armor: Either up'd twitch, vmagi, or spirit shroud, depending on what you're dueling
Shield: 121 ar/spirit arkaran targe, 45 res spirit arkaran targe. I'd suggest getting both.
Boots: Sanders and tri res boots
Ammy: +2 pcomb/life/mana/res
Rings: Sojs and/or 100+ar/life/mana/stat/res rings
Gloves: Bloodfists
Belt: Soe, and an fhr/life/mana/stat/res belt

You would also want to have a +holy shield scepter, no need to waste that extra point. They aren't that rare and is well worth it, considering this build could use the extra skill towards dmg. Keep deaths sash/gloves in your stash, and angelic rings/ammy if you find that you need more AR.

As for the pt in salvation, you sacrifice 10% dmg to one element for a +2% boost to all of them, which is only 6% in all. You may want to think about that.

I played around in the skill planner and you're getting Fire Damage: +280 percent Cold Damage: +280 percent Lightning Damage: +300 percent Attack Rating: +250 percent, and a - 75% conv. This is using the 3vengeance/3conv scepter. This build could work, since everything it lacks in the ar department could be made up by the -def% from conv/eth runes. It's worth a shot, and good luck to ya!

Edit: You also need to hit a good fhr bp, which is covered if you use bloodfists and spirit, after making you may discover you need more.

well we have tried to think about this before, i remember we all tried to come up with all the different numbers. i was certain the dmg is converted so u do want +max.

with that in mind im not sure on IK, u might want to go deaths belt+glove for 30ias so u can use a ed jewel shield.. u want +dmg to increase the amount of element dmg conversion

but make it in sp.. fullsetup of +24 jewel, and 3/xx/15's . ull need fast gear i think 8 frames was the fastest u could do, maybe 7. make sure the +max works.

u might really need to take this 31 to be competative some 20%/15%ias jewels to open possibilities and get the +2skills everywhere to get convinction up high, u need piercing resisatnce bc if someone stacks, it ruins everything.

I used to have one of these a long time ago. If I remember, damage was really good, but the problem was interruptible attack and mana cost. I used a +1venge/+1convic/3 shael/30 max war scepter.
