does thorns work in duels? like if i got it up to lvl 15 or something would it really work if i had a merc or something and they hit it would it take out the opponent's life?

im having an idea to do a 2.vs.all duel game! have a 24/7 game that stays up, and im thinking about making a thorns pally and also having a necro .vs. all the people in the game when im on.

it would help with a merc but not enough to make it practical or effective.

honestly if you like the idea of peeps killing themselves make a summoner nec with im but even then its not all that effective in lld if you have a merc with him you can get a rogue and use an edge bow for thorns.

fyi im works better with bone walls than minions

thorns is really nerfed in pvp. the 1/6 pvp penalty applies to it, and i think there is also another penalty that's something like 1/10. im not really sure on the numbers, but i do know that the effect of thorns in pvp is minimal.

ok thanks, what is "edge bow" does it give the person who is useing it thorns aura? ok thank you for your advice, i already made a necro, norm nm and hell all done yippie , haha well i did all skill quests and everything all i need is nm act3 the first quest that gives 20 to life, hott! lol he has 600 life already with just newb gear and some small life charms, well it works good, i join hell games and have my friends kill people and i summon helpers, i have 15helpers !! great idea guys i thank u, i have 3 extra skill points too!!! i cast iron madien and as long as they melee me, they kill them selves

im going to have a friend come on diablo and his thought was to make a lvl 8 thorns pally and help me out? or lvl 14.. thorns/healer, not really sure what his deal is but yeah thanks!!!!!!!

I made a "thorns" pally with some of my leftovers. It was supposed to be a joke character so he used:

rusthandle (4 to thorns)
4-amn armor
4-pskull shield
max thorns

He's a lvl 25 character. He fought one lld caliber zealot so far and just barely won.

By the way, if you happen to have a lot of edge bows lying around, you could always make an iron golem from one and give everything in your party the thorns aura from that, freeing up your merc for something a bit more productive.
