quick guide. i made in sp and it doesnt seem too bad.

Skills:
Hellrush = 41 points to spend

Light:
Telekinesis: 20
es: 7
prereqs: 4

Fire:
Warmth: 1

Cold:
orb: 1
Cold mastery: 1
shiver armor: 1
prereqs: 6

Gear:
Helm: Sol'ed +2 cold/fcr circ
Armor: Sol'ed viper
Wep: spirit sword
Shield: Sol'ed visc
Boots: cow kings
Belt: string
Gloves: frosties
Rings: sojs
Amu: +2 cold [you only need the fcr on helm OR circ if you have a 35%fcr spirit]

Charms: 10x mana gc's 10x 15 life sc's

Stats
Str: for gear
Dex: for max block
Vit: BASE!
Energy: THE REST!

Theory:
Max mana build to take advantage of es, the dr stuff helps this along. The lower dmg from not maxing orb synergies should be made up for from you being harder to kill.

Practice:
If dmg get through the es and dr you will die quickly as ull have about 300 life.
Your mana may fall rapidly if you take dmg leaving you unable to attack/tele.
Your dmg may be so low that ppl just laugh as they kill you...
[hopefully it would go better than this]

My sorcs stats:


-70% res from cold mastery.

Edit: just saw my res, wow casters will slay it if you dont do anything about it.

nice concept, heres a few thing i notice'd, a level 16 Energy sheild absorbs 71% damage, then each level after thatis +1% damage absorb, so 300 life just wont cut it.
the highest possible level es you can get at level 30 is 21 which is 76% absorb thats with:
+2 helm
+2 amulet
+1 armor
+2 rings
+6 wepon pre buff
+1 sheild prebuff
+7 base
21(this way unrealistic, more realistic you'll have lvl 16 sheild)
You might try only 6-8 gc's with more life sc's (maybe some 15/70's)

Another thing you only need 63% fcr for the breakpoint so you dont need 10% fcr on helm or amulet,

also replaceing string with nightsmoke might be something to look into.

does nightsmoke add directly to energy shield? so since nightsmoke is 50%, and an energy shield was 67%, would it add up to 117% dtm? thus..having some negative or super cool affect on your life/mana? or if it was ...50% energy shield would it go to 75% absorb?

nightsmoke only adds to mana when you take damage and it takes away from your actual life bar.

Maybe leave energy at base and put the rest into vit?

And also you could have life on the gc's too, i just didnt include it in the test build.

The point of the build is to have little, if no life come out and have it all be taken from mana, and hope your mana recharge is high enough to replenish it.

Does ES take out damage from ranged attacks also?

I belive it works on all dmg except poison.

The thing is, even if i do get to 70% es absorb then ive only got 3 sol runes and string of ears protecting me from phys dmg. And only string and vipers mdr and my poor res protecting me from ele attacks.
